Has anyone gotten any book lists or any emails regarding the start of the program? I have not and I am beginning to get a little worried.

does anyone know if we have to pay a deposit by a certain date? I am nervous because i have not heard anything about that, and i don't want to lose my spot!

does that mean if it says that they are "awaiting faculty decision" then you are on a waitlist? or they are just putting your application aside for now? mine says that, and i don't like the sounds of it haha.

Wow that is awesome ssr87!! Do you mind me asking what your gpa and such were?! Also, when did you complete handing in all of your transcripts and such? I just handed mine in on September 30th, so am assuming i will be waiting a while! Thanks! :)

So i recently talked with someone from the nursing program, and she said that they actually DO take your graduate studies courses into account when calculating your gPA.

Hey! I do not think they take into account your GPA from graduate studies. I think they just need your transcripts to verify that you graduated from those programs. Only the last 5 full course equivalents, are used to calculate gPA as far as i know!

Mount Royal does not have an accelerated program correct? so you mean that if i put in a Peds preference for terms 7 or 8 i would most likely get that? Or no one at all seemed to get one? I am glad you feel like you are prepared! That is very reassuring. Do you know how many people are accepted into the program?

Hey! No I have not applied anywhere else as of yet. If i don't get into Calgary i will be most likely applying to UBC and Toronto. Do you know of anywhere else that has a January start time for the accelerated nursing?

also do you have the opportunity to do a lot of different clinicals in a variety of areas, including pediatrics?

How was the program? I have read a lot of not so great things about it in the past, but have no idea what it is like now that they have changed it around a bit. Would you mind sharing your experiences with it?

Hello! I have also applied for the Degree Holder route for winter 2014. I am not sure how they look at your gPA etc, however there is something called the diverse route for applying, where you write about your experience, etc, and that is for people who may have a lower average. They talk about it in one of the other forum conversations. Just so you know!
