Now..is it online? THe Virginia school. Are you rrelocating? I want to get in too! I am BSN, 3.6 GPA, MNed Surg nurse for 1 year now, and I want to do Psych NP.

I am a BSN nurse, nurse on med Surg for 1 year now, 3.6 GPA. I want to do Psychiatric NP but do not want to limit my opportunities, so I want to do Family Np first, then get certificate in psych. I will be happy just to get into a p-rogram at this point. USA seems very affordable and i've head great reviews.

May I please know your stats? experience, gpa, etc? I want to apply next year, and want to get in. Any advice will help.

I am dissapointed and heartbroken. I applied to FIU in Miami's Psych NP program and was sent a denial letter. Just a background o me: 3.6 GPA, BSN, Med Surg nurse for 1 year, had to do my interview via SKype because I was on honeymoon during that time, didnt get a physical panel interview, applied to only this school this year. Next year, i intend to apply to all the FLorida NP programs, unlike this year. But it still hurts. Do not wanna be stuck on Med Surg floor forever...any advice, anyone? Heartbroke RN

I am super excited for you! I just got an interview for Psych NP program too at FIU..fingers crossed..will know by next wed. Hows the program for you so far?

I need the input of either peds nps or psych nps only, please. I am interested in both, Psych more than Peds. But I am afraid limiting my job opportunities with pursuing beign a Psych Np. Are psych nps really needed? If so, are they here to stay? I just want a stable and rewarding career. Any input?

Hey! I am interested in appying here as well. How is the online program going? Do u have to set up your own clinicals preceptors or they do it for you? They told me i need 2 years as a psych nurse before applying for psych np program, dont know how strict they are on that. Any additional info, please reply to me. Thanks! Naphisa
