Did you ever get any resolution? Did you go to HR? We're they helpful? I'm in a similar situation.

Can you update me on how you're doing now? I could of wrote your post above right now because I can totally relate to it being a different world in NICU. I'm 16 weeks into orientation that I was told could last 12-16 weeks...20 weeks max. I had a year of pediatric experience prior. They still give me a hard time about not knowing things I should know by now like the long bones being affected by syphillus and LPI protocols. I am starting to think I am not fit to be a NICU nurse.

I wish I knew which NP Program you ended up getting accepted to? Congratulations!! I’m sure you’re about finished now and I hope to someday hear an update on this. ?

I am a 30 year old married mom of two kids. I have been a teacher for 8 years. I started out wanting to be a nurse but after marrying young and starting a family I changed my major to teaching because it was a better fit for me back then. My husband promised me after the kids were more independent, I could go back to school for nursing. Don't get me wrong I love the time off teaching brings during the summers and holidays but I need a change. There is no way I could retire from teaching! I am happy to share I have been accepted to the Texas A&M University @ Corpus Christi Eline program and I start next week. I'm so excited to finish my original dream! Has anyone else been accepted to this program?
