  1. Hi everyone. Has anyone here just got hired at VA San Diego? Can someone tell me the hiring process and how easy/hard to get in? Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi moki9204, it's been 4 weeks now since i sent my application and they just cashed my application fee. Hoping to recieve a letter from them this week. :)
  3. Hi everyone, I also graduated year 2009 from the Phil and have the same prob with regards to concurrency issues. After a year of waiting for my RN application here in CA, i got a mail that says i wasn't able to sit for NCLEX-RN. What i did to keep me going was applied for LVN and passed the exam. Right now, i work in a Skilled Nursng Facility with good pay . Few months after passing LVN, i decided to take RN exam for the state of Florida and got my license few months ago. I waited for few months before i decided to apply for reciprocity because of what i have read in this forum. Now my papers are still in process. Whether it is approved or not, i'm still hoping and praying that they will grant it. I'll keep you guys posted.
  4. H novicious, Any update on your endorsement to CA?
  5. Hi there, I just took my exam a week ago and unfortunately i didn't make it. It was my 1st Nclex RN exam and i was so frustrated and disappointed. I thought all the studies i made were enough but i was wrong. Now, I'm trying to motivate my self to study again. It is hard specially when you work full time. I got plenty of SATA questions. Almost 60-70% Prioritization (That's why I bought LaCharity book), 30-40% Safety and Infection Control and lots of Drug Computation. I heard about the NCSBN and Kaplan online review and until now i'm still confused which one will i enroll. I heard different reviews to both of them that makes me confused. I might enroll at NCSBN and go to Barne's to read KAplan's review book. What do you think, guys? Can somebody here share a sample of Drug Computation you got and what formula did you use? Thanks!
  6. Here are the reason why CA BON is very strict now to all Filipino grads. Filipino Nurses trying to get their license, please read. Press Release - California Department of Consumer Affairs,Press Release - California Department of Consumer Affairs
  7. Thank you, Dragon LAdy. Do you have any idea on how to apply for fingerprints electronically for those who are out of state applicant that is planning to apply in FL BON or in other state? Because i tried to have my fingerprints electronically but the vendor told me that they don't send fingerprints to state by state.
  8. Hi dragon lady, How long did you wait to be eligible after you send your Declaration form? Thanks!
  9. Hi Tarapm, Congratulations for passing the NCLEX-RN exam in Florida. :) I'm from California and also applied for Florida and now the only thing that i need to do is the fingerprints. Were you also in California when you applied for FL BON? May i know what did you do to get the fingerprints since we're out of state applicant? I sent them my fingerprint cards and they sent it back to me because what they need is "electronic fingerprints". Please lemme know how did you get your fingerprints. Thanks!
  10. hi Killerbee, Congratulations! hope you find a job as soon as possible :) If you don't mind. may i know where did you finished your BSN and what year did you graduate? Thanks!
  11. Hi, The CGFNS processed my papers for almost 2 months. It depends on your papers if it's complete then they will process it as quick as i am. The Florida board didn't ask me to take the English proficiency exam. Again, it also depends on the school where you finished your BSN. Last week, i sent them the copy of my Continuing Education Certificate "Prevention of Medical Errors ". And just this day, i sent my Finger print card. Hopefully by next month i'll get my eligibility and take the Nclex-Rn.exam
  12. Guess what! The CGFNS just emailed and congratulate me for completing the requirements of my Credentials and they now issued the report to the Florida BON. Good thing is that i don't need to take the English Proficiency exam. :) The only thing that i need to complete is to fly to Florida for the Live scan/fingerprints to get my eligibility. Any suggestions on how can i get a fingerprints without flying there from San Diego? Thanks!
  13. You're right. the LVN board requirement is different from Ca BON. That's why i got confused when i asked the Ca BON to send my Transcript to the LVN Board. i didn't imagine that the Record of nursing program that i sent to them will gonna be there own copy. So after 4 months, i received a letter from LVN board that i am lack of one requirement which is the RECORD OF NURSING PROGRAM, and in addition to the letter, they gave me a copy of Declaration of Nursing Education. Just this day, my school sent them my Record of Nursing Program. Now, i dunno how long to wait again to receive my eligibility letter.. sigh......
  14. yeah! maybe you're right. especially me. i sent my application with out sending my Record of Nursing program. I never thought that the Ca BON will send the Transcript without my record of my Nursing program. I know it was my fault. another waiting again.
  15. really? 2 months of waiting again? so how long did it take after they sent you that additional requirement (declaration)? I sent my application last Oct 30,2012 and received a letter from them last week (March 3) that i need to fill-up the Declaration letter. So u mean to say, i'll wait again for more than 2-3 months before they give as eligibility? Oh my!
  16. hi, Are you still waiting for the LVN board eligibility after you sent the declaration letter? How long did u wait? thanks!
  17. Hi, i applied to FL BON also. in what school did you finished your BSN, if you don't mind?
  18. Hi askingbenitez, My application to the Florida Board of Nursing is still on process. They're waiting for the CGFNS to approved my credentials.
  19. I'm in San Diego area. :)
  20. Cool! what city are you in?
  21. TO SHERGILLNAV, in what state are you in now that requiring IELTS? Thanks
  22. congrats! how was the exam? was it same with NCLEX-RN or a little bit easy? Update us if you got a job immediately. :)
  23. oh! took so long! so you passed the exam yet?
  24. Hi kassy, i just applied to the Florida BRN, i read your post and you said that they are requiring english proficiency?? hmmmm,, based on their website http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/info_Foreign_Applicant_Info.pdf 6) Proof of English competency is also a requirement.
