  1. Did you request days or nights?
  2. The window for the nurse residency program is closed, and they have already sent out acceptance and rejection letters. :/
  3. I accepted a new grad position at TCH, as well. cvicu.
  4. I was offered a position, as well! Infusion Therapy
  5. Hey, all. I interviewed with the panel today and received a phone call tonight scheduling me for a unit tour. Not sure if this is a job offer or part of the interview process? The recruiter told me I had an amazing interview, so I thought this was a job offer, but now I'm not sure.
  6. I was just contacted today for a second interview. LBJ, ED.
  7. If you had the titer showing immunity, you should not have to be immunized again. I have not had the third shot of the series yet (TwinRix - Hep A/B combo) and cannot have it done until October. I asked the CON about this, and I was told that it is fine as long as you are in the process.
  8. I have started, but not finished. I am swamped with school work. So far, I have completed the drug screen and three attestation forms.
  9. Hey, everyone. Sorry to those who have sent me msgs, friend requests, etc. I still do not completely understand how to use this site, so if I don't respond right away, it's not bc I am ignoring you. I forget to check my alerts. :-)
  10. I live in the Atascocita/Kingwood area.
  11. I agree! I'm not buying anything until after orientation. :-)
  12. So...how hard is Statistics? I hate math.
  13. How many people in Cohort 9 have clinical experience? I was just wondering if I am going to be the only person to arrive at clinicals who does not even know the basics. :/ I have never worked in a health care setting before.
  14. I would recommend getting together with a study buddy to go over the material. Sometimes it's easier to understand and retain the material when you talk about it. Also, try to find and use a lot of visual aids - YouTube Videos, etc. to aid you in understanding concepts. Videos always help me bc I am more of a visual learner. Good luck!!! You can do it!!!
  15. Thanks for the info!!!!
  16. Thanks, Destinmatt!
  17. Oh. I'm taking it online and the RRD says to read chapters 1-8, 20, & 21 and parts of Ch. 10 AND most of the RRD the first week for assignment #1. (It's a little over a week, actually. But still.)
  18. For those of you that have taken Pharm at UTA, is it necessary to read all of the chapters in the book or just the RRD's? It seems like a ton of reading in just week 1 alone... nine chapters in the book, plus additional pages from other chapters, plus the RRD?? That seems like a lot in one week. Thanks.
  19. I can't figure out how to join... :-(
  20. Two of my friends (nurses) used to work at Bayshore in Pasadena. They did not have good things to say about the facility.
  21. That is going to be expensive, though! Hotels 2 days/week for 16 months? It adds up! Not sure where other clinical locations are... I feel for ya.
  22. Do you know anything about testing days? I know she said they are on Thursdays, but I was wondering what they entail... hands-on testing or written tests? I guess we will find all of this out during orientation, but I'm just curious. lol.
  23. During the week of Christmas? I hope not! :-(
  24. I was trying to take notes as she gave me information...she said clinical days are Sat and Sun at Bayshore. Testing days are on Thurs. Did she mention times to either of you? I forgot to ask.
  25. Awesome! Looks like we will all be meeting in person soon!
