  1. Has anyone ever heard piggybacking a pca pump programmed to infuse med at 12mg/hr(1.2cc) to a line of D5NS running in via Baxter pump which is programmed to infuse at 45cc/hr. I have difficulty understanding how the dose of med would be accurate if one pump is prog. for 45cc an hour and the other 1.2cc/hr. Can anyone explain.
  2. Not familiar with morphine gel.....in our facility we often use s.c. buttons for morphine when oral route is not feasible and we have no iv access. Eliminates the patient being stuck all the time.
  3. Been using Ativan gel....not too impressed with it....Wonder how much is absorbed and how much is left on the nurse's glove....Higher dose is necessary...
