  1. Hi everyone, i had had a general question. I am currently a New Grad NP and was recently offered a Temp job, I also have another possible FT job offer with another company. I am very interested in both jobs. I am interested in the first job because it is with a great, reputable company with a strong support system for new grads, although it is only a temp position with a possible for conversion to permanent position at the end of the timeframe. I like the second job because it's a permanent position, FT with benefits, and also with a great company. My question is: is it wise/possible to accept both job offers? The first job gave an option of PT or FT. If I elect for PT is it possible for me to accept the second job FT and do both? I would just take the first job offer, but it's a temp position with no guarantee of on boarding after 4 months and it has no benefits thank you for any input or advice
  2. Thanks everyone for the input. Maybe I am using the wrong term? For example, if a student moved to a different state to attend college they would not have to apply for a driver's license, etc. and would have to pay out of state tuition because they're permanent residency is in their original state. That is what I was wondering if it is a good idea to plan to apply for a DL and car plate even if I am planning to move back to my original state anyway ... especially because I am still attending a distance nursing program in my original state?
  3. Hi everyone! I am sorry if there's another thread to answer this question, but I was hoping to get some insight and advice from anyone that has gone through a similar situation? I am a new grad and have secured a nursing position in another state. I am thinking about getting 2-3 years of experience in the second state and move back to my original state. I am wondering if it is a smart idea to apply for permanent residency in the second state, apply for a driver's license there and what not? If so does anyone know what the process of applying for permanent residency is like? Thank you in advance for sharing any input!
  4. Wow, thank you so much for that information. I have a follow up question. So I understand that each year you have to renew your license by doing CEs or what not. Do you have to renew each of your license individually and if so can you use the same CEs for each license renewal? and do you have any experience and how long it takes to get a CA license endorse to UT?
  5. Hi Everyone, I am having trouble finding this information online so I was wondering if anyone has any experience or insight into this. I am licensed in CA as a RN. However, I am looking for nursing positions in UT and if offered a position I understand I have to apply for endorsement. My question is if my license gets endorsed to UT do I lose my eligibility as a licensed RN in CA or would I have dual state license. So if I did want to go back to CA in the future would I have to apply for endorsement back to CA? I hope that is not too confusing. Thank you in advance for your feedback and insights. I genuinely appreciate it!

  13. @ktonic When I asked her, she said that it is because they managed to fill up all the interview spots so they did not need the Saturday date. I guess this just means more time for them to review our apps :)
  14. I just had my interview today as well (in the afternoon) I know it is hard to understand but trust what everyone else is saying, it's very hard to "prepare" for the interview. Your best bet is to feel confident, feel comfortable, and be honest :) Western Interviewers, faculty, and staff are so amazingly friendly. Your interview will go by faster than you'll realize. HAVE FUN! GL to the ones interviewing tomorrow! FYI, they are canceling Saturday's date so the last day for interviews is tomorrow and one of the staff said that we will be getting notification of our status MID march EEK happy waiting everyone!
