  1. yes I have my sheet and thanks! I tried calculating myself and it isnt coming out right..it's something special about calculating the points! I just don't get it. I tried what you said, but I was unsuccessful.
  2. Okay I am lost...my advisor tallied up my points before I was core complete last year. That is all good, but now I am core complete with an Associates degree and I don't know how to add up these points! I am so lost because she divided them by a certain number to find my nursing/core GPA! Someone help. I applied to UT Palestine's Spring 14' program, and now I am just curious to see how many points I have. Again, I am not lacking any courses; I am core complete Thanks
  3. I applied to the UT Palestine campus...I am core complete and have an Associates degree. Im so nervous!!!
  4. Ok I'm lost...I talked to the advisor "...." at the Houston campus and she told me the September class was already chosen because it's past the deadline -_- however...on the Nursing CAS website they state that I still have until August 1st. They go on to say that Chamberlain's BSN program will begin in September...can someone please clear the elephant in the room for me -_- ---> did Chamberlain choose September students early or is Elizabeth informing me with false "accidental" information? I want to know this before I pay my nursing application fee! Thanks
  5. Donna I'm actually in the process of applying to Chamberlain! HBU wanted 9 hours of Christianity and I just don't have anymore motivation to put in toward regular school...I'm ready to start Nursing school! So I have to ask....did everything transfer ok for you? Thanks
  6. Hello I am also a Pre-Nursing student. I plan on applying to The Chamberlain School of Nursing in September. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa with a GPA of 3.79; I have 65 hours in coursework completed and ill have my ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN ARTS in August. I took my HESI exam today and I made an 84 on the Reading, 82 on the Math, 82 on the Grammar, 80 on the Vocabulary and a 92 on the A&P section. I have a 3.5 for my Nursing GPA and a 3.45 GPA in coursework hours. With all of this being said I just want to know this: is it enough to at least put me on the waiting list? I'm just so anxious I cannot wait to find out! Its either this school or West Texas A&M. Send plenty feedback Pre-Nursing students and good luck!! Patrick
  7. Hello all, I am a current student at UT Tyler, and I applied for Palestine and Tyler's BSN program. The woman told me that I had to do well in both Pathophysiology and Professional Concepts of Nursing because it will determine if I get selected for the program since I didnt do as expected on the TEAS exam. What I want to know is...how hard are these 2 classes? I want to at least make a B in both or make an A in one and a B in the other. Please get back at me as soon as possible because I will start these classes in the Fall of 2013. Thanks!
  8. Thanks Donna. I had chamberlain in mind too! Ill just have to weigh my options :)
  9. Ok thanks a lot
  10. I am so confused on what to do. First off I'm classified as a Junior at the University level. I am currently enrolled in NURS 3303- Acute Care Pathophysiology and NURS 3205-Professional Concepts of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler. I plan on applying to UT Tyler's nursing program for the Spring semester of 2014 but I don't want to put all my hopes in one basket so I applied for Admission into Houston Baptist University a couple of days ago. They told me to submit my transcripts and my HESI scores. I currently have 65 hours completed in coursework and my HESI scores are as follows: Reading:90%, Math: 82%, Grammar 86%. My Nursing GPA is a 3.4 while my coursework GPA is a 3.45. I made an A in Chemistry, an A in Microbiology, an A in General Psychology, an A in Human Growth and Development, a C in A&PI, and a B in A&PII. I have a 3.6 overall GPA and ill have an ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN ARTS in August of 2013. I am currently taking my last nursing science (Nutrition) which will be completed before the summer ends. What I want to know is this...with all of my academic progress..what are my chances of being a strong candidate for UTMB's nursing program? I admit my TEAS V score wasn't as good as my HESI score and that is why I retook it! My individual score was a 64.3% I did meet UTMB's required score but I retook the TEAS test today to see if I could do better...I am currently waiting to see what I made on the retest but in the meantime I need to know more about UTMB! What is up with this NursingCAS site? Why do I have to send a transcript form to the colleges that I attended when I already have my sealed official transcripts ready to be mailed?!! Did I mention that transcripts aren't free -__- please help me as soon as possible!!! I need someone to please give me some pointers. Question: Am I wasting my time applying to UTMB? Or do I need to stick with UT Tyler and Houston Baptist University's Nursing Program???? Thanks, Patrick
