  1. I didn't apply to this program because I didnt have the test they required. Word of advice for anyone who is applying to accelerated programs is to apply to as much schools as possible (dont put all your eggs in one basket). You never really know which school will accept you. I applied to Stony Brook, Binghamton and Buffalo accelerated programs. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices respectively. I was accepted into Buffalo but rejected by Stony Brook (HIGHLY COMPETITIVE) still waiting to hear from Bing but I digress. The point is...dont think you will get accepted into your first choice or the program that's more convenient for you. you have to consider all options and take what you get at the end of the day. Again, dont put all your eggs in one basket.
  2. Congratulations to us all. I was beginning to wonder if I was alone. It seems this program doesn't get as much attention as it deserves on allnurses. UB has a great program is all I know and I refuse to base a life changing decision on hearsay. With that said, follow your heart if you get accepted into Bing's BAT program but keep in mind that UB is a great program. Congratulations once again and maybe we can be classmates. When you have made a decision, please let us know.
  3. Happy new year everyone!!! I hope all our nursing dreams come true this new year as we all wait for decisions from stony brook. I hope it's great news for everyone. I was accepted into university of buffalo's accelerated nursing program but its so far away from me (i'm in nyc, queens to be exact). I really hope stony accepts me but in case they don't, does anyone know anything about the abs program at ub? Any info will help. Thank you
  4. I also applied to both programs but I'm not sure which program is better. I will personally prefer Stony brook because the commute will be better for me but I will work with whichever one I get. Goodluck to us all.
  5. Thank you for all your help BioD1234. I have applied to the accelerated nursing program for 2013. Please advise on whether I should apply to the two year program as well. I heard that the decisions were made in mid December so I was hoping to find out whether I would be accepted into the accelerated program before applying to the two year program. If you don't mind me asking....were you a stony brook student and what was your GPA. I am so nervous and don't know whether my 3.6 is high enough based on what I have heard so far. Thanks
