  1. what have you heard about their nursing program I haven't heard much. Is the program pretty good I see that their NCLEX scores are good so thats a good sign I guess
  2. Ok thanks yes their site says if you have a degree you don't have to the ACT.
  3. Thank you. I will have my degree in health sciences so I am debatingif I should wait to apply I don't think I will do well on the ACT
  4. Thanks. The says flexible scheduling allows for students to choose between day and evening courses and clinical experiences that is what I was referring to. Do you know if the nursing school for the ASN will be moved to Lindenwood I read about SCCC partnership with them. How rigorous is the program?
  5. Can anyone tell me about their program? Do you have to have pre reqs completed before you can apply? Is the only test the ACT or can you take a placement test. I think this program may be an option since they have an evening option. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Why did you withdraw from Lutheran?
  7. Has anyone started LSN? If so how was it? Are you continuing your education and were your credits transfered ok? Hearing different things about schools accepting their credits a friend even told me that only Barnes and Webster accepts all of the credits because LSN ihas contracts with them. Is this true? I wad considering LSN but am wonding if I can do it with three small children? Any insight would be great?
  8. What nursing program did you attend?
  9. I'm going to have to do some more research just to make sure credits transfer ans if I need to switch from evening clinicals at this point I don't see how I could do evenings
  10. Did you have any evening clinicals?
  11. Where did you all do clinicals?
  12. I still think 20 is low :DWhen you had your interviews did they seem not impressed because you attended Lutheran?
  13. That's not bad well I think ,20 is a little low in my opinion but 25 is definitely a good start being a nurse is no joke
  14. what is the pay now for new grad nurses. What is the difference in pay between nursing homes and hospitals. I really want to work in OB and become a lactation specialist
  15. That was my next question? That's awesome do you have any job offers yet?
  16. Thank you so much!!! and remember what you said because I know im going to need help especially with the math:shy: its never been my strong point. I was looking at barnes and slu's program they are soooooooo expensive.
  17. I think thats always been my problem, being too embarrassed to ask questions because it might be a stupid question but cant afford not to now. I appreciate our conversation its making me feel alot better im still nervous just have to figure out my family situation but im also excited. Im blessed to have a very suppoortive husband .
  18. Thats good to know? Are there sim labs it doesnt seem like Lutheran would have any? How long are clinical days?
  19. Oh congrats on graduating I know it was hard
  20. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!! How are clinicals? Do you start in a class since they start clinicals so soon? Does Lutheran have simulation labs?
  21. That's good advice I definitely want to continue my education. I do like that Lutheran doesn't require you to have all the classes completed that other nursing programs do. How is your schedule? Are your classes everyday?
  22. You have made some valid points I do like that Lutheran offers so many clinical hours that important in my oponion. I spoke with Ganelle or gaynell anywhoshe said that pre nursing get enrolled before other applicants so I guess it would be a good idea to take the two I need there. I wonder how many other institutions are denying diploma. Do they feel that the education from Lutheran is not as good as the universities.
  23. Yes I think that is just old board being to cheap update anything lol but I do remember talking to one of the people in charge of UMSL's nursing program and she stated that if someone could not get into their program she would always recommend Lutheran I was surprised to hear that its a little impressive but some people frown upon it because its a diploma program. I though about the community colleges but their waiting are extremely long
  24. Oh I thought this was a forum about SLU's AGMSN program for people with a Bachelors in a non-nursing field sorry
  25. Do you know if graduates are finding employment? I was thinking about applying for the program if I qualify but am not sure if its worth it. I know its very expensive and I would like the options of continuing my education if I wanted. Is that possible with this degree since its a generalist masters in nursing?
