I received a phone call last week stating that I got accepted into Dominican's nursing program. My packet was received today in the mail as well. Still undecided if I should go to Dominican because of the long wait... I'm still waiting on CSU Sacramento, CSU Stanislaus, CSU Bakersfield, and Samuel Merritt though.

I didn't receive a letter yet either.

I think letters come near the end of the week, so some people may be receiving letters by Friday hopefully.

Did you all receive a big packet in the mail or a small one?

KristinaT - It should be fine. As long as you sent in your application before the deadline then you're in the clear. They told me that it's ok if the documents are received later than the application deadline.

I mailed my application last week as well. I'm taking history, interpersonal communication, and intro philosophy as part of the prereqs for Samuel Merritt. It sucks that we have to wait until June to find out if we got accepted because I applied to CSU's and we have to accept or decline our acceptances by May 1.

I applied for Fall 2013 as well. I think we should be getting our decisions sometime this month actually.

sfsunursing - What did the say when you called them? Did they say they sent out all the admission letters already?

Still haven't gotten anything yet Do you think it goes by when you submitted your application? Because I sent mine the night before the deadline.

Sophs - Thanks for letting me know! My strong points in my application was my job position as a nutrition assistant for Santa Clara County and the volunteer work I did at a hospital and senior center. I did fail one of my science prereqs with a D but I repeated the course and got an A so I don't know how that will affect me.. And I also went to one of the information meetings for the nursing program. The facilitator stated that clinicals wouldn't start until Spring 2014 for the people accepted into Spring 2013 and Fall 2013, so you won't graduate until 2016. What were your strong points for your application?

I sent in one letter as well. I was reading the older posts and people always got the rejection letters after the acceptance letters went out.

How many letter of recommendations did both of you send in?

I'm waiting for my acceptance as well... I heard that they mail out rejection letters after acceptance letters... I really hope this isn't the case.
