  1. Thank you everyone for your helpful input.
  2. Please understand that I am not faulting the school. I completely understand, but with that said my dismissal was a tough blow. I wish I did have the strength to have pushed through but I did not. My loss was difficult for me. Everyone is different. Congratulations on getting through. Pharm was the class I received a C in.
  3. I have thought of being a nurse for years, but was a little nervous because as a nurse you are responsible for the lives of others. I feel that becoming a nurse will be extremely rewarding on so many levels. I am interested in labor and delivery for personal reasons. Thank you for your post.
  4. I did mention it before and after I got my grade. I was informed there was nothing I could do. I will move forward and pray for direction. Thank you for responding.
  5. I disagree, to ask "What do you want from us" is rude no matter how you put it. I obtained a C because I had difficulty concentrating due to an unexpected death in the family. I think I have a right to be a little sensitive. As a nurse one should be sensitive and compassionate. I think we need to be careful when we address one another, because we have no idea what the person on the other end is going through. I understand the reality of nursing and getting into a program. I still have a good GPA and did extremely well in my other courses. Nursing is a compassionate and Caring career, we should treat everyone with respect. Take Care Zoe
  6. I live in Dutchess County, Fishkill area.
  7. I live in upstate NY. Yes, an ADN looks like a possible option. Thank you
  8. Wow, I am not asking for sympathy, I was asking for any ideas that I may not have thought of. I do not appreciate your rudeness and hostility.
  9. That is not possible for me, I wish it was. I am a working mom with a mortgage and I currently have a good salary that I cannot give up.
  10. Yes, it seems that once you fail one class in the accelerated program, you are asked to apply to the traditional program but that does not work with my schedule. When I ask about the appeals process, I am told there isn't one.
  11. Hello. I am in need of some advice. I was recently dismissed from an accelerated bsn program because I got a C and not a C+ in one of my classes. I am devastated. My schedule makes it difficult to go to a traditional day program. Does anyone know of any weekend programs in NY or on line programs (not sure if you need to be an LPN already for on line programs). I think it is crazy to give up my dream because of a missing plus sign? Thank you Zoe
  12. Hi, I am new to this site. I am also looking into scholarships. I am changing my career from business to nursing. What is workforce solutions? Angie
