Statistics trouble
My professor basically said in class today that this exam was the hardest one out of all of them, but I am still very unhappy about how I did. I am going to his office hours to go over the exam today. The lowest score in our class for this exam was 35. I need to change up my study habits for sure, but I get the homework, i just wish the exams were more on par with the homework.

Statistics trouble
I am just scared that if I do not do well in this class, that I wont be able to be a nurse, it really bums me out because I have worked so hard for so long just to have one class ruin it...

Statistics trouble
The exam questions are structured completely differently and they are much more difficult. I also suffer from pretty bd test anxiety, which was a definite contributing factor.

Statistics trouble
Everything accept the homework is written, my class is in person, not online=( I wish I had taken it online, I have a feeling I would have done better... We don't use Excel or any other type of software, he doesn't even teach us how to do it on the calculator. For homework we use Webassign. I don't think I studied as well for this exam, so I will definitely fix that. Can one bring a C up to a B? I don't know what I will do if I get a C or lower in this class... All my other prerequisites are solid, I got A's in all of them accept for one B and then there is this class. I handle the homework fine, it is my professors exams that kill me.

Statistics trouble
Hello, I have posted on here before about how I am struggling with statistics an I am sure some of you are annoyed by it, but I really need to talk it out. We just had our second exam and I bombed it and now have a C in this class. This is the worst I have ever done in a class and am quite crushed, especially with the knowledge that this statistics is my last prerequisite for nursing... I don't know what to do and am really down and scared right now. Thank you for listening, your feedback really does help.

Midterms?
I am struggling with applied statistics=( It is my last prerequisite, so I am quite stressed about it. I am disappointed that I get the material and do well on my homework, yet my professor's exams just shred me. I don't think I did well at all this last exam=(

Spring 2014 NAU Hopefuls
I got a 74 overall on this last attempt=( the questions are not bad I just need to brush up on my math for next time. I applied to Flagstaff and Yuma as well=) My GPA is about the same and I am taking statistics right now. I hope I get accepted as well, but worry my overall score is too low. I am not liking stats all that much right now either:no:.

Last prerequisite stress!
My school does have a tutoring lab, which I do go to. Which part of micro are you struggling in? Lab or lecture? Does your school have some sort of supplemental instruction after class?I got a B in micro when I took it, but my teacher was new and didn't know how or what to teach exactly. My teacher for micro even suggested we use Wikipedia as a reference source! She also interrupted the class to fix her exams while we were taking them! Don't worry, if I could survive that, you can do well in your class=) First exams are always tough, first exams are not always a good measure of the grade you will end up with=)

Last prerequisite stress!

Last prerequisite stress!
Hello! I am on my last prerequisite and it is stressing me out royally! The prerequisite is applied statistics. I study very hard for this class, use multiple books and always complete my homework on time; yet I got a 76 in my first exam. We are on probability and central limit theorem and it just feels like a haze to me:confused:. We are headed for our second exam and I am quite nervous! I m nervous in general about this class as it could ruin my chances of getting accepted into my school's BSN program if I do not do well. Does anyone have any encouraging/ uplifting sentiments they would like to share? I could really use some encouragement and support:down: :cry:Thank you for your time and consideration=)

im so so anxious and stressed about getting in to n.s.
I so understand how you feel right now! This whole process is like going up a robust waterfall. I am taking statistics right now (my last prerequisite) and we are headed for our second exam. I am nervous for this exam because I received a 76% on the first exam and statistics is hard. I am stressed just trying to keep my grades up so I can stand a chance of getting accepted. I transferred from San Diego California to Arizona because S.D is too saturated with new grad nurses.

Feeling the pressure
Yes, I am nervous about how hard it will be. I have heard the transition from prerequisite courses to nursing courses can be a shock. They do try to ease the students in as far as clinicals go so I have heard. My current gpa is good right now, hopefully my last prerequisite I am taking this semester doesn't ruin it. My school goes by prerequisite gpa, Kaplan test scores (science and overall only), and in progress vs. completed prerequisites.

Feeling the pressure
I am applying to a BSN program as well. It is so tough to get in, most who apply to my school have 3.75-3.9-> and a Kaplan score of at least 80. It is also hard because I do not know anyone here as I am a transfer student. It is nice to be able to talk to other pre-nursing students who are supportive of one another. There are many pre-nursing students at my school who are just plain nasty!
