I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only one questioning about it. I would like to talk with someone about the psyche nurse vs med-surg nurs. I feel that if I decide to go for psyche I won't have the knowledge that you learn in med-surg. I also feel that we go to school for so much for limiting our future in psyche. Also, the future job opportunities will be limited as a psyche nurse vs. med-surg nurse. I'll graduate in May, I love the psyche, but I have all this doubts because as you, I also loved the psyche rotation. I'm frustated because psyche is the only rotation that I really liked but seems like insurance don't pay as well as other diseases. You know that mental issues are the first ones to cut when cutting a budget in clinics. I wish they can put more weight in pshych. Have you hear any positives about this issue?
