Another day...another worry
Sweetheart you'll never know unless you try. :) you're already this far. Why not try it out see what happens and then who knows you might shock yourself. Maybe the gratification from helping those in need will fill the void. There are so many different fields in nursing. Pediatrics, surgical, neonatal, emergency room, just to name a few. One of them might suit you. we are our own worst enemy and tend to give up mentally before we do physically. Give those negative thoughts a mental kick & give yourself a chance and definitely more credit.

Demand for LPN in Chicago?
Sorry didn't mean to offend. I noticed my mistake I think after I hit post but didn't know how to fix it. But thankyou :) @ misschina sorry for the late reply. I haven't found much on lpn jobs. It's a few. I did find out the that I could get an ASN in 2 years rather than going for an lpn for 15months. So I'm most likely going to go that route. :)

Oh wow I never knew you could go so far with nursing. I do hope u make it. You definitely can with such a optimistic attitude. Good Luck! My mother said u can go right into the NICU as a new grad. Only thing they require is a BSN. That's how it is at her hospital. No certification or going through different levels. :) I'd look around though. Google "NICU Jobs Il" I just did & found these : Nursing - Nurse Clinician Ii\nicu jobs in Chicago https://chs.taleo.net/careersection/10001/jobdetail.ftl?job=918047&src=JB-12080 They don't require much once you are done with schooling. Hopefully once you obtain ur LPN & start working as one that will count as experience for these kinds of jobs. :)

I want to work in the NICU also. I surely will ask her for u. I heard Everest financial aid sucks lol but the program is so quick thats why I want to go. I'm wondering if it's a limit on how much financial aid I can get. Because after my lpn i plan on taking Pre-Reqs at PSC then going to a University for the RN. I'll have to chech out the Institute of Technology. It sounds familiar, I might already have. What's the difference from neonatal nursing to a neonatal practitioner? Congrats on passing!

Considering becoming a CNA?
Oh your right around here. :) I talked to Prairie State and they just have the associates program. The lady I talked to said that most work places want u to have a Bachelors & suggested I go for that after I get the associates. So I looked around & I don't need an Associates to get the bachelors I can go straight for the bachelor. Why waste 2-4 years when I can just go straight to a college for a BSN. Plus my mother told me (she's an NICU RN) her hospital requires now to have a Bachelor. It's better to go for the bachelor since most employers want you to have that, I think. Where are u going for the lpn class? I'm thinking Everest since it's a 9 month program plus they're accredited. I definitely will have to check out that forum. I need all the info I can get lol.

Considering becoming a CNA?
I find myself really conflicted though on getting an lpn. As a mother of 3 an extra income is very much needed so i feel like going for a lpn would prolong getting an rn. Any thoughts or advice?
