  1. Sad to hear this! The same situation applies to Aged Care too? or just for RNs undergoing the bp.I think this not right my cousins just got work no proplemo
  2. I do not think anyone is getting jobs easy now, especially those with only 12 months experience and a break of more than 1 year .There is a strong push I heard for locals and the govt has cut down on sponsorship visa's. Only those that have much experience and recent in a specialty are employers are supposed to be given rights to apply for giving sponsorship boss's. This came from a family friend who is married to immi officer.
  3. Only just in time....hope they have got and okay reputation with the hospitals, there is something wrong, or has happened.!! Hope those going with ACFE, still nothing there, since september.
  4. So here we are, 28.11.2012 and still all 3 bridging programs are out of date or soon will be, ACFE, ETEA, IHNA. WHat is happening? Every other bridging program gets accreditation on time, why this? We are owed some explanation, not words from these schools, dates being change, conditional offers! The only nursing program accredited by IHNA is the diploma of nursing (Enrolled Nurse) that is accredited to 2016, the bridging in both Melbourne and Perth are 2012 according to the AHPRA website, that gets updated regularly as things change.
  5. Maybe a thought should be given to the nurses that are educated and work there, having to pay for their education and housing, food, everything on such poor wages and high cost of living. Should all overseas nurses that go there be paid better with lots of perks? Someone must be surviving, or there would be chronic nursing shortage - which I heard does not exist. and the people in Australia have one of the highest health outcomes coming from hospital care.
  6. That was then, it was corrected, they are back on the list with an accreditation and notes saying it will cease being an accredited school on the 30.11.12.
  7. Not so goodnews,, have another look at the approved programs that was put up last week...new format, ACFE ran out accreditation 30.9.12 and IHNA and ETEA are running out ALL campuses 30.11.12.
  8. Hi, I cannot do private messages as yet....Telling the school about AHPRA showing their accreditation is running out, is not the answer, we need to know what is happening....what is the problem....is it easily sorted in the next month or so.. Otherwise let us know and we will look elsewhere for a school. Still nothing on their website to explain and help us relax. Still no answer from emails. It is pretty clear in AHPRAs list....they were allowed to run 2 courses with lots of feedback to AHPRA for October and November cohorts, then their accreditation was to cease. Do you think it is another administrative mistake?
  9. I have two friends who thought they were exempt if they had a license in the USA. They were told by AHPRA in Victoria, after a few giggles - I was told and told very strongly that Australia is not part of the United States and that the only thing the NCLEX can do for you or any other nursing exam is prove that you have done some CPD, nothing else, it will not get you out of bridging program unless you have worked in english speaking country - as a nurse for at least 3 months. ..and now with this trouble with some bridging programs having accreditations, makes it hard for us pinoys.
  10. Yep, same link and still all three program's are either out of date or soon to be out of date and no announcement or advice on any of their websites....Click on the link saying 'details' so you get the full picture - opens up more information and gives the finishing date for accreditation with each of the schools. Think we have been had.
  11. Sorry, with all this worry I meant to say I was ETEA bound in January.....anyone else for ETEA for 2013. According to ANMAC schools are not to advertise, enrol or take money if they do not have accrediation.
  12. Has anyone noticed all threee ACFE, expired 30.9.12, IHNA expires 30.11.12 and ETEA - 30.11.12, for the their bridging programs when all the other courses are already been given 1-3 years creditation. I jut wish the ANMAC would just announce what is happening and the reasons why it is by a month by month creditation. It is not fair that these schools are taking applicants and money for next year and no word from the creditation agencies, except a changes in a list on the bridging schools with AHPRA, no announcements no explanations!!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING! can anyone enlighten us! I'm for January IHNA. School keep saying that it will come through or it has, what is the truth?
  13. I am really worried. The school is not going to tell us the truth if there is a problem.
