  1. Thanks for all your input everyone. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who had trouble in the class. I decided to withdraw. I've heard there making the class easier so maybe I will ace it next time around.
  2. I'm taking my pre reqs for nursing, this semester a lot of things have happened, and unfortunately my anatomy grade has slipped and is now at a failing grade, I really only have 4 more class days until the end of the semester (4 weeks, excluding next week since we are out for Thanksgiving) I Have two more quizes and 1 more exam and then my final exam, Today (November 14th) Is my last day to withdraw if I decide to do that, so my question for all of you is should I withdraw and retake it next semester or tough it out and see where I stand even though even if I were to bring it above passing I doubt I could bring it past a D in such short time. I hope someone answers I'm so stressed over debating on what to do
  3. Does anyone know where I can get a loan with a low interest rate to cover school. I want a private loan that can be used for living expenses, traveling expenses, School expenses, including books, tuition, computer. Every place I've seen has a very high interest rate and you end up paying more than triple of what you borrow.
  4. One of the questions on my anatomy homework asks me to state the quadrant of the abdominopelvic cavity where the pain or sound would be located for each of the 6 common conditions listed. 1.Stomach Ulcer 2.Appendicitis 3.Bowel sounds 4.Gallbladder attack 5.Kidney stone in left ureter 6.Ruptured spleen Can anyone tell me what its actually asking for? I'm confused:madface: I have class in a few hours so if anyone can help it'd be great and much appreciated!!
  5. alright thanks guys, one more question. If you get either of the three ASN BSN or MSN what would you be? i mean there are several different nursing things, lpn, Rn, etc..?
  6. I know that ASN stands for Associate of science and BSN stands for Bachelors of sceience, right? What does the N stand for? lol stupid quetion I know!!

Thanks Jamy! So does that mean you don't have to have any schooling for it you just get trained at the hospital? I'm going to be taking my pre reqs this summer and fall to become an RN but would like to have experience as a CNA.
  8. WHat is a cna and what do they do? I've never seen any courses for cna nursing? at any of the schools I have looked into but I read something about it on here and thought about taking it this summer and working through my nursing school. Any advice?
  9. I'm graduating in May too! Well sort of I'm homeschooled. What pre reqs do I need to take? If there's so many of them do I need to take them all? After completing all of them will I be in the nursing program or will I have to reaply? What campus are you going to?
  10. Thanks! The letter wasn't really signed by anyone it just said Sincerely the admission staff. The interview is with the health department. What will they ask me? If I went to school for something else for two years would I have a better chance of being accepted after graduating?
  11. Do you know what this appointment/interview might be about? I mean I'm so confused why did I get a letter of acceptance if I'm not accepted?
  12. Well huh. THats not good. Now I'm considering not even doing it because I can go to Purdue and be in. Only its for liberal arts not something I'm to interested in but maybe after some time in that prgram I could transfer to nursing? Hmm I don't know I appreciate all your help though=-)
  13. Hmm well maybe I'm not accepted. I received my acceptance letter and it says congratulations you have been accepted to Ivy tech state ollege for the fall of 05. And then it goes on and says my file has been forwarded to the health Division and I need to call and contact my program advisor and register for classes. Well I called today and they said they aren't registering for classes and asked if I was in a program. I told them I didn't know but they told me I need to set an appointment and then transfered me and I made an appointment for 3 weeks from now. What does this mean? I am so confused I feel CLUELESS. What should I wear to the appointment? Comfy jeans? or A nice outfit with black pants? lol
  14. I have been accepted to both I"m not attending until this fall. I haven't registered for classes yet.
  15. Ok I'm sorry to get that mixed up. Ok I applied and then received a letter of acceptance, I still haven't registered for classes though. do you know when the deadline to register is? And do you happen to know if you have to take any type of test before your actually IN!? even though you were already accepted? I hope that makes sense:) ANd I am talking about the lafayette campus.
