  1. the double tube stethoscopes are both better and worse than single tube. The problem with the double tube is that you pick up more artifacts, such as the tubes rubbing together. The high dollar littmanns actually have double tubes encased in a single tube, so you get the best of both worlds with neither of the down sides. Has anyone found any super cheap insurance? I'm just looking for the cheapest insurance that the program will accept. I don't plan on using it, and don't really have any money, even for the cheapest insurance.
  2. Does anyone who's not insured know a good place to go for the physical and or vaccines/tb test? I was thinking the health department for vaccines, but will they do a physical?
  3. There are only enough seats for those in the program. I'm fairly certain that those who failed pharm 125 have to re apply for the program, at least that's the way I understand it... In any case, I was able to sign up for all my classes and this is my first semester/time in the nursing program. It's possible they are entering people alphabetically? In any case, just keep trying I guess.
  4. I got accepted into the spring 2013 program. so excited to start! Going into it blind though, glad I tried researching the program itself and found this thread, so much information that it's nice to get a jump start on. I had no idea about this toolbox course! I signed up for the one in December, going to wait until orientation to sign up for the one in January. I was curious if there was a facebook group for the spring 2013 course yet, and if someone could link me if there was.
