Thanks! I am very happy...but, I made one promise to my husband. Since he missed going turkey hunting last April in Texas (because I was in LPN school), I will wait and get a job after this season of deer hunting. And on to RN school in January! Congrats to all that passed the NCLEX...and good fortune to those who are about to take it.

Believe me, I didn't have a gold spoon. I worked hard throughout nursing school with three kids and a husband at home. I guess I just retain information well. :) And I had a very good nursing program. I had an excellent preceptorship and really got to experience a lot during clinicals. I love the human body and find it so fascinating that I just soak up information like a sponge. I was really nervous about the NCLEX, but it wasn't bad.

I just got my license in the mail today. I took the NCLEX last Thursday...didn't study one single bit. I figured I should have learned all that stuff in nursing school. I was right. I had 85 questions and it shut off.

Wow, congrats on even getting into nursing school! In my state, after your first semester you can get your CNA license. I just graduated and am scheduled to take state boards next Thursday. If I could give you one piece of advice, I would say, study hard and read the material. You will do fine in clinicals if you go in with at least a basic knowledge...that's all they ask. You are not expected to go in knowing how to do everything. Just have a basic understanding of what you are doing...and if you don't know...look it up. As the last reply stated, your instructors have much more experience...and in nursing experience counts double!! Always know where they nurse with the ten year pin is!! And love your CNA's...they can make or break your clinicals. If you put your mind to it you can do this. It will not always be easy, but you will make great friends and wonderful memories...as a class you will grow to love each other. I have had a wonderful nursing school experience. I loved clinicals...loved my patients...I was called to be a nurse and I went to nursing school with three kids. Of course, I did have support in the form of my husband, which I couldn't have done without him. Good luck to you!

Hello all! I am new to this site, and I wanted to get in on the discussion. I, too, am taking A&P II this semester. I have an awesome teacher that makes it really interesting, although, anything to do with the human body (or a cat! lol) interests me. Are you all dissecting a cat? It really is fun for me. Am I crazy?
