  1. I live in Lafayette, LA and work at a fairly large catholic hospital called our lady of lourdes regional medical center. I work 3east which is a medicine floor. I started out making 12.50/hr with 5 years of previous med/surg exp. I work at night and make an addition 3/hr so that gives me 15.50 per hour. Thats good for this area full time with great benefits. Our nurse to pt ratio at night max is 7 pts and the town is safe and housing is affordable. I rent and pay $350 for a nice neigborhood 3 bedroom mobile home.
  2. I am an LPN in Louisiana I work for a large catholic hospital on a busy 37 bed medicine floor. I am moving with my partner to NYC in September he is going to culinary school. I have been scoping the job maket and I've been noticing that there are no jobs for med/surg LPNS I can't work as a nurse if I don't work on an acute floor I'd rather quit nursing all together. Anyway can someone who has been having this problem please post thanks. And what about getting a job at in New Jersey is that recommeded and what is the job market there like. Can LPNS in New York admin dialysis. Davita is looking for an LPN to do it that would be the only other job i would be intrested in. ARE LPNS OUT OF WORK IN NYC?
