  1. I am a LVN (working for a month at this facility) I work at a nursing home noc shift i handle two station 40+ residents (its busy if i have an emergency i have to send someone out) .....as a new grad i feel frustrated and stress out. I really care for all of the residents but i have big problem the new assistant nursing director is crazy....she keeps bugging me during the day calling at my house (while i am sleeping) becuase i dint chart right or assessment not right ....like she doesnt care if i have my sleep or not. i talk to the DON she said she is like that. i found out too why is this shift is open because of her ...two nurses resign because of her. she likes putting people down. i heard she always write people up and thats crazy!!!i i think she doesnt know how hard it is to work at night shift with 2 stations. i am by myself with no supervisor to help out. i just feel stress out not enjoying nursing at this facility.

  4. hey bala congrats on passing the NCLEX:monkeydance: am taking mine on the sept 25th i have been doing saunders(good for contents) and kaplan Qbank (good for critical thinking) (hard!!!!) i heard theres a lot of priority question... i have the new Saunders and i got 60/65= 92% on the delegation and priority questions exam (i think its easy). on Kaplan wow its hard but the priority i am good with it. (assess first, priority intervention, triage question,) avg score 50-65...i also have kaplan trainer for RN hehehe but i skip all Question except priority question. did you get a lot of priority? how many percent do you need to pass the nclex??? i would appreciate any tips you would like to give me because i am like nervous. thanks and congrats again Bala on passing the NCLEX!!!

  6. I just graduated as a LVN... I have 1-1/2 month till i can take the exam (nclex) i want to work as a CNA for a while ....how do i get certified ? I heard about challeging for it ..... I lived in Ca.....any tips or info would be nice thanks
  7. its official i am going to an 11 month program for LVN....is there a requirement for lvn like become a cna first and LVN????? i hope not well my background is i was in a community college RN but its taking a lot of time to do it. maybe 3-4 years becuase of that waiting list (almost all the prerequisite for RN in my community college are full every semister) For LVN i was thinking after i become a LVN i can go to a school to do LVN - RN bridge. much easier and plus making enough money for it too. also experience wise. arghh i should have think of that before i went to community college. If you are a LVN please give me some advice on how to handle the classes thanks bryan PS: a lot of people told me go for RN because you might not go back to school. wel thats for them cuz probabaly they have a child or someone to take care of. i am single, 24 years of old male. i can do night shifts and continue on to go to school ...god willing at age 27 or less i can have a RN degree. also after LVN i can save enough money to support myself and to go to school. not unlike right now, going to community college classes closess immiedietely and making not enough money for it.. pathethic huh i would rather go to LVN-RN.....as i relaized it depends on the situations why people want to go to RN first because they are already making good money.
