  1. Same, got an email to interview yesterday :) it did not indicate which unit.
  2. Yay! I got in! ^^ but I am going to Sac State's nursing program.
  3. Thanks scwolf :) I'm going to check out that area on Craigslist, and that link as well.
  4. I will be moving from the Bay area to Sacramento in August and I need to find a roommate, for a place close by CSUS... I want my own room and bathroom. I found a place on Craigslist with 2 BR/BA for around $1000 a month with utilities, and it seems promising but I have no one to split half the costs with, because my friends are going to different universities. Any tips on how to find a reliable roommate? Or a cheaper place.
  5. thanks so much for the helpful info guys!! answered a lot of questions that I had. ^^
  6. I had a 3.814 gpa, and a 92% TEAS score. I also got 3 points for being bilingual, which puts me right at the 75 mark.
  7. Yay! A happy ending ^^
  8. Congrats kaylab13! I got in as well. Whee!
  9. Yes, of course...! x) We're both in the same boat! but I have to agree with mommato3crazies though, I think you will make it!! :)
  10. Alright guys this is it! The awaited day is approaching... our fears will calmed or confirmed...
  11. 900+ applications?! *faints* xD
  12. I got the email too but I think that you don't need to fill it out since we applied to the nursing program, and not the health science program. It said that only those who have been admitted to the university can apply to this program, so maybe this email was sent out to admitted students. Plus we sent in our transcripts to the admission office already so we should be okay. :)
  13. I hope your prediction about the 72 max or less point cut off is right nurseinthemaking20... lol
  14. These two months will go by super quick. Haha. Time really does fly. The wait seems torturous right now but its gonna zip by fasst... I'll try to keep my mind off it for now and focus on other stuff for now until April 30... Then start spazzing out then. Haha. But ya I'm super nervous of course. Hope it turns out well for all of us.
  15. Same here, got the email and just checked. No decision yet...
  16. I think she means the admission decision to the university, not the nursing program. We will find out in May for nursing. Hehe.
  17. No prob! We will find out if we get into Sac state soon (not the nursing program, just the school in general), on March 1st.. The scholarship instructions said that transfers can apply as well and on the cover page it said that **all majors should apply** http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o612/Rafaeia/IMAG2538_zps1dc35268.jpg But then requirements also said, "accepted as a transfer in an undergraduate program at CSUS" ... Ahh D: and we didn't specifically know if we get into undergraduate nursing specifically or not by the deadline, only the university as a "pre-nursing" student in general ... I will still give it a shot haha.
  18. double post x(
  19. Disregard the third link, about the scholarship instructions since it has not been updated on the website (says 2012-2013 for some reason) but here's the 2013-2014 scholarship instructions scanned here: http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o612/Rafaeia/public/scholarship_zpsf255d605.jpg
  20. Yes nurseinthemaking20, I really do wonder about the cut off points for F'13. Well since we both have the same point amount, we are definitely in the same boat. x) I agree scwolf... would love to go there if I get in. Hope we do! Also, there's a scholarship for Sac state, transfers applicable! $1000-$2000 amount, you need your transcripts, two recommendation letters (one must be from a faculty member) and an essay describing why you want to attend Sac state, goals, hardships, etc... it's a great opportunity. more info can be found here: Scholarships http://www.sacstatealumni.com/Attachments/2013-14Scholarship_General_Application.pdf http://www.sacstatealumni.com/Attachments/2012-13_Cont_Undergrad_Scholarship_Instructions.pdf The deadline is March 1st.
  21. I know what you mean nurseinthemaking20... I've been too excited and thinking of all these scenarios but nothings out yet lol .. every year seems to get a lot more competitive. It's time for me to come back to earth. And just wait.
  22. Hey guys I dropped off my application in person today!! The drop off location was different from the mailing address of the university, but I did get a nifty chance to visit Sac State for the very first time. It has that small college feel. The student population seems pretty diverse, so I like it. I was also able to get into contact with my foreign language evaluator (he was pretty cool) & did my foreign language interview in the morning. I got an email a few hours later stating "We received your Fall 2013 Supplemental Nursing Application." It was quick!! crebs that's awesome, glad to hear that. I tried to PM you as well, I was wondering how does the hours for the program look like? Also, how is the student life there? Would you say there would be time to join a club and do extracurriculars? and echoing nurseinthemaking20 too, could you squeeze a job in there somehow? x3
  23. Hey eama4444, Nurseinthemaking20 and wanisai :) Nice to meet you guys! Yes, totally think that I need to get mu language part going. xD Glad to see a bunch of us helping each other out. Let's keep each other updated.
  24. Hi everyone... Sac state is my #1 choice as well... Currently I have 72 points from gpa and teas. I can get 75 if I find an evaluator for my language for the extra points. So so nervous about it all. I'm from the bay area !
  25. For me, I thought that finishing my science prereqs before taking the test really helped. Also I gave myself plenty of time to absorb the science section. Also, I used the ATI study book. I studied only 1-2 pages a day in the science section so that I didn't get overloaded, and paid attention to all the small details. Review often. And when I didn't get a science section I just kept staring and re-reading the section until I finally got it. (one part in the science section took me two days just to comprehend it. lol) Time and persistence is key, I think.
