  1. http://www.aacn.nche.edu/media-relations/fact-sheets/impact-of-education Here is a good website describing the changes that organizations are making. Just FYI. I am not completely inaccurate.
  2. Obamacare is going to effect nurses with ADNs and diplomas by banning them from working in hospital settings. Those who have an ADN or diploma will be grandfathered into the system. But I don't know if that will kick them out if they try to change jobs or not. This is going to encourage those with ADNs and diplomas to go back and achieve higher education. I personally think it is a good idea because you need the critical thinking skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients. But some of the best nurses I know only have an ADN. We will see what happens. Hope this helps.
  3. I am a nursing student (BSN) at UNMC now.. Creighton is the only school that has NNP for a program in Nebraska and they admit on an as needed basis.. Hope this helps.. I am looking at all of the programs for my MSN right now and have been to sooooo many informational meetings. Lol. :)
  4. Are you in a BSN program? If so, wait until your community health nursing class. This is something that I absolutely hate because I do not get enough patient interaction. Lol. Seriously.. There is something out there for everyone. Keep your chin up. And from one student to another.. Remember to breathe and own whatever you do (even if it is a bed bath)!
