  1. Hey Hun! I haven't applied for my license because I wanted to do it in person. I officially relocated on Friday. I'm moved from Florida. I heard the MD license was hard to obtain unless you do it in person so I decided to do it in person. Good luck!! See ya Monday!! I was at the hospital earlier today doing my physical.
  2. Not yet. I start the 21at too!! Well be in the same class. Ill be relocating 1/11/12. Congrats!!
  3. Where u offered the position? Although I'm not a new grad I'm actually starting with the new grad since I've been doing psych since I graduated nursing school. I'm crossing my fingers that you get it. Good luck!
  4. Idk nothing about their ER. I can tell u it's a very busy hospital and I'm sure the ER IS VERY BUSY. Good luck Hun!
  5. Yes. I did ANd I got the job. It was a very simple interview. They didn't ask much questions especially since I am a psych nurse and I was interviewing for a cardiac unit RN. They only ask about myself and what I was looking for and y I chose cardiac. It was very easy. Just smile, look and act interested (smile and ask questions) and look sharp. What unit are you interviewing for?
  6. Thank you fashionistarn!
  7. I have an interview coming up soon. How is the hospital? Pay? Usual Nurse- pt ratio on a non-icu? Do the nurses wear a specific color uniform? Anything I need to know.... Thanks!
  8. South Florida suck. I lived here all my life and I am a nurse as well. I been an RN for 2 years and it was extremely tough for me to find a job in the hospital. I had to settle for psych. I been applying to hospital jobs for the longest and not one interview.... As far as living.. I live in Margate which is north broward... I actually love it here. Good schools, great residential area, I live in a 1bdrm and pay $900. The cost of living is a little up there but if u are in a 2 income household you should be fine. Do not move to Miami. Good luck!!
  9. No, I'm Not a new grad. I been a psych nurse for 2 years and I'm trying to transition to the medical floor so this will all be new to me. Nervous but really excited.
  10. I have an interview with Georgetown university and I would some info? What should I expect in the interview? How is the hospital? What's the base pay? Are there certain color uniforms you have to wear? Do they help with relocation (im in fl)? Is it a good hospital to work for? What else do you feel I need to know? Anything would help. Please and thanks!
