  1. i absolutely love working in the ER.. I'm an EMT and an ER tech and it's an amazing, chaotic job.You can learn as much as you want from working there and it's a wonderful family like environment. If you want to learn, you can learn so much!
  2. Just seeing this and scored an 85 on my first Hesi today to try to get into the program. I'm wondering if I should take it again, just to see..
  3. As an ER tech (EMT), I've done compressions in the ER more times than I can count. Every ER is different and the scope of practice is different in each ER that i've worked in. I think it's wrong to assume that you know her role in the ER and belittle her for being a "lower level". To the OP, I hope your day gets better, we have ALL have them, some days are stressful!
  4. I already know I want to be an ER nurse. It's where my heart is and where I currently work. I'm an EMT so I have the background and I already know how it works as an ER Tech.
  5. I'm scheduled to take a Chem class starting in a few weeks. The teacher I was assigned was given HORRIBLE reviews on rate my professor. I'm nervous about taking this class anyway because I'm horrible as the sciences. He received a 1/5 with many people stating the same things that he doesn't listen, that his tests completely differ from what is taught in lecture and he's never available. There are two teachers that teach this class and the other isn't rated at all. However, they are both full. There is an online course that isn't full. I don't know what to do, do I suck it up and HOPE I pass? Do I try to be waitlisted for the other prof or do I take it online? This has me completely nervous.. What would you do?
  6. Yes, I work at in a hospital system in Pittsburgh and they offer tuition reimbursement to a list of colleges and tuition advancement to a few others.
