Pre-College Req?
Thx alot saysfaa that actually cleared alot of things up for me and ill definitely call the school and ask if i can take a few prerequisites while attending the college since i kinda want to do everything at the same time rather than a few classes prior to the associates program and studying shouldn't really be a problem for me since i sort of plan on becoming a night-time security guard while attending college which should give me plenty of time to study :) im 18 and outta high school btw

Pre-College Req?
I've looked it up a lil more myself but im still wondering if i could take these courses while in a nursing program or would i have to drop everything take these classes and then apply? I also kinda doubt the GED will account for anything now which means i have to take these classes independently... but im pretty sure i've done a few of these courses in high school with passing grades i just need to find my old transcripts hand that in with the GED,finish the other courses, then apply to an RN program right?... \asdfafwqfas

Pre-College Req?
Hi, i was wondering if a GED is enough for me to get into a nursing program or would i have to take certain high school courses or other mandatory classes on my own time before even applying to a nursing program? If i did have to take any classes what would they be? Also, are these what all the prerequisites threads are on or is that for something else? i can't really tell since most of the OP's of those threads seem to already be in school.. I live in SoCal if it matters http://www.ccbcmd.edu/nursing/Prerequisite_-_RN.html http://www.piercecollege.edu/departments/nursing/subpage1.asp Thx

Salaries according to Specialties
Also i've read a few articles saying how the job expectancy is suppose to increase by 20+% in the next few years but i see a few people saying here and there how hard it supposedly is going to be to find a job even as an RN?... can someone also clarify on this? Thx again..

Salaries according to Specialties
Hi, i'm a future student who will probably be graduating in 2014 or 16' and i was wondering what specialties or field as an RN most commonly have a payscale of over 65,ooo/yr with at most a BSN. I know salary shouldn't be my main priority but I keep seeing a few threads where some salaries are as low as 30k-45k and wanted to know what i may be expecting if i were to pursue nursing degree and maybe do something in oncology or Med/Surg and maybe OB... i have checked a few salaries on salary.com and a few other sites but they can kinda be vague. Also, if you dont mind... sharing your own experiences with salaries it would be greatly appreciated!! I'm a male, live in Cali, and somewhat plan on still living in the LA area (Burbank) for the majority of my life (maybe spend a few years as a traveling nurse) working for a regular sized hospital and was wondering if i had to pursue a MSN to have a 80k+ salary on a 40-50/hr week schedule even after 2-3 yrs experience with a BSN or even an ADN. Thx in advanced
