Did you pass???? My Uworld average is also 70%. My test is Wednesday. My Kaplan average is lower. I think Kaplan is a lot harder than UWorld.

Congrats everyone! I am so excited that you will be starting this journey at TCC! Like I said a few weeks ago, it really is a fantastic program! I am the newly elected Vice President of the TCC-TNSA (Texas Nursing Student Association). I encourage you all to be as involved as you can with various professional nursing organizations, including TNSA, and volunteering throughout your education. It is a great way to network and give back to the community. If someone makes a Facebook page just be sure it is a closed group with only one or two admins who can add new members and that posts are appropriate and professional. If you search Facebook you will see how other semesters named their pages. Again congrats and be sure to introduce yourselves at orientation! If you have any questions, let me know and I will guide you if I can.

Hi everyone! I am a current student in my OB/PEDI semester and graduate in December. Waiting is the hardest part and I remember it well! I wish you all luck! This program, the faculty, the students... it is amazing! Can't wait to see you at orientation!

So if we still have to get the last of our vaccines after November 15th will we not get a schedule?

Oh ok freak out over! So I talked to Dana at the main healthcare services number and she's awesomely nice. Anyway, she said that 6 months was the old recommendation but if the vaccine giver will give it to you early that's fine to go ahead and do it. Whew! Crisis averted onto the next! I'm going to run over to Walgreens and get a flu shot real quick, my physical is on December 2nd. That's the soonest they could get me in. Dana said that the packets with all the forms in it won't be sent our another week or so and the physical form is in that. Hope this helps someone! Has elevate replied back on whether accepted or not? Off to join the Facebook group.

What number do I call?

Question about hep B... The school says six months apart. So for example 1st shot on August 1, second on Sept 1 ... So the third can't be done until February 1? I'm curious because the CDC and the public health clinic said my third shot is 4 months from the first which means third would be December 4th. I have to get my last hep A in early February, but they said that's not a problem. Other than that I just need my flu shot which I plan to get tomorrow. If I get turned away after all this I'm going to freak out!

I apologize if I came off neurotic and know it all... This is what waiting has done to me and it's not one of my finer qualities.

4.0/4.0= 100 3.75/4.0= 93.75 3.5/4.0= 87.5 Etc I could be wrong though....

I think it was ktm89 for from fall 2013 that told us how they average your score. And then my friend asked how they break a tie and she said they look at your math Hesi.

Since they only look at our science GPA everyone has been posting that and their HESI score. Then the school averages your scores to rank you. So 3.75 GPA and 92 HESI= 93.75+92= 185.75/2= 92.875. If there's a tie and they can only accept one more they use your math HESI.

Woke up to go to the bathroom and now I can't get back to sleep... Guess my day has started! I have my college algebra class today at 2. It's review for the test. Guess I should leave my phone in the car- otherwise I'll just be checking my email constantly. I even changed my phone settings. Now every time I get an email my phone plays a chiming noise. Let's hope today is the day!

Hi everyone- my name is *** and I am an emailaholic with forum posting tendencies. I have a hard time not checking my email for more than 5 minutes. I put email and forum posting above everything in my life. My husband is about to create a forum profile just to converse with me. In fact, today he emailed me while I was sitting right next to him because I didn't respond to his question. ( I was checking my email and the nursing forum..) what is my life????

Yeah the person knows who I am. Actually there are 3 of us in the same class. We are the northwest campus. In fact instead of reviewing for our test today we speculated about our emails... Sigh.. It's 114pm- maybe 2 more hours until we know hopefully! Good luck everyone!

I stayed busy this weekend. We are moving in a few weeks so there was lots to do besides tormenting myself waiting.... To catch up I'm applying with a 4.0/95, my friend is 3.75/87. Student231 is a great resource. I've been following her for the last year. I have my CNA license and will try and get a job at Texas Alliance. I've done CNA work before in a nursing home and home care and am excited about working in a hospital setting. Well it's off to class! Please let us find out TODAY! Oh! And I would love to meet up with everyone! Especially the silent participants of this forum, one of whom is in my class today. :0)

Here another... Hospital regulations require a wheelchair for patients being discharged. However, a student nurse found one elderly man already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need any help leaving the hospital. After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let the student nurse wheel him to the elevator. On the way down, the student asked if his wife was picking him up. "I don't know," he replied. "She is still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown."
