  1. Did you consolidate yours? I'm so confused about the different options & my school is no help. I'm a new grad and I already have my first job. I have loans through sallie Mae & loans through the federal government that I got through my school
  2. The state I am living in (Hawaii) is extremely difficult to get hired as a new graduate in. I have been offered a volunteer position though. Does this count as experience? We wil be moving in several years and most hospitals require minimum one year acute care experience so i'm just trying to figure out if volunteer experience still counts.
  3. I took NCLEX-PN on Saturday and also got cut off at 85 questions. I got the good pop up and I passed :)
  4. My pop up said that I had recently scheduled the exam but this trick really works. I took NCLEX-PN Saturday and got the good pop up right after taking my exam. I checked the Pearson website Monday and it said I passed.
  5. I just took the exam this morning and got the good pop up. I get my unofficial results Monday fingers crossed! I'm sweating it.
  6. I have taken those as well but mine never said that. I would assume that you didn't answer the nursing questions correctly? Mine only had personality questions
  7. Did you call HR or just apply online?
  8. I'm graduating in May as well with my BSN and moving to Houston. I have been submitting applications online to 6 hospitals so far but i'm wondering if I should start calling the HR departments as well. Did you just say that you're calling to follow up on your application?
  9. A few friends have told me that they applied for and got jobs while still in their last semester of nursing school school however all the positions I have been applying for say "current license in xx state" I have been filling out license pending, graduation pending etc.. but i'm just wondering if i'm wasting my time doing all of these applications? I graduate in May with my BSN.
  10. I just realized that my letters of recommendation didn't attach the first time so I just went back in and uploaded them The positions are still posted so I hope it's not too late
  11. I just applied this week. How long ago did you apply? Did you call them or just fill out an application online?
  12. Can I qualify for a temporary GN license in Texas if I am graduating in Hawaii?
  13. Thecommuter: Getting licensed in Hawaii is pretty pointless since there are no RN positions here for new grads. It's ridiculous. Anyway I can sit for NCLEX in Hawaii and get a Texas license instead of a Hawaii one? Do you happen to know the website to apply for a license in Texas?
  14. I will be graduating in May with my BSN. I am planning on relocating to Texas if I can get a job there. Would it be better for me to take my NCLEX in Texas? I was planning on taking the NCLEX in Hawaii because that is where I am currently living but I don't know how difficult it would be for me to obtain a secondary Texas license if I take the NCLEX in Hawaii?
