  1. I didn't receive anything specific either so no worries. See you in class Tuesday!
  2. Thanks! I'm looking forward to it. Obviously my house is in chaos at the moment but we should be ready in time. But yeah I was surprised too that I was able to get in to it, but it worked out. Maybe because I've already received credit for some classes?
  3. Got my enrollment sorted out, I'm registered for the blue pattern (#2). I'm going for the security clearance after work tomorrow, they were closed when I got there this evening. Can't believe I'm moving to Edmonton in 3 weeks! It's going to go so fast. :)
  4. Ahhh k, so I haven't gotten that email yet. No wonder I was so confused! Hopefully it comes through on Monday. :)
  5. Ok I think I did my registration wrong...how do I pick a colour pattern? I just registered for the individual classes on the website.
  6. Hi Oryx! So excited that you got in too! I registered for my classes and got into residence yesterday. So it all came through quite fast, I'd say less than 2 days. I'm contemplating buying my books online and having them shipped to the house, but it hardly seems worth doing because I just have to pack them up and bring them back again. But then I have to battle the crowds at the bookstore....hmmm. Anyone have any suggestions?
  7. I was just accepted for the fall semester! Keep those ringers crossed, I'm sure your call is coming! :)
  8. Oooh that is exciting news for everyone waiting! :)
  9. I'm not sure if they have extra room or not. I think they're trying to shorten the waitlist so if a space opens up they aren't calling someone who doesn't want that spot. They asked me if I would like to still be on the waitlist for September or if I had made other plans for the fall. They also asked how much notice I would need to accept a position for the fall semester. Hopefully some spaces do open up though! If not, I'm fine for January, it'll give me some more time to work. A little extra cash never hurts
  10. Got a call today and they're going through the waitlist to see who is still available to go in September and how much notice they would need to accept a place.
  11. No change in my September application, still waitlisted.
  12. Perfect, mine just arrived today! And the GPA they stated for any courses that I've taken shouldn't be a problem to maintain so that's a relief too!
  13. Hey Oryx, has your letter arrived yet?
  14. Oh darn! Wish I hadnt taken classes this semester. but with only finals left, not much I can do about it now. Thanks for the info though!
  15. Hi ms20133! I just found out that I am on the admissible waitlist for September! I also found out that I was conditionally accepted for January, although I'm not sure what my conditions are yet, other than final transcripts and a security clearance. :) I only saw my acceptance online, so hopefully I'll be getting a letter/email soon telling me what I need. Hang in there everyone, waitings tough but hopefully worth it.
  16. Thanks BulmaBriefs! I'm waiting to hear back from a couple of other schools so the journey isn't over yet. If nothing from them, then I'll be back for January. :) best of luck to everyone!
  17. Non-offer for me as well.
  18. Has anyone heard anything?
  19. @BulmaBriefs nothing so far!
  20. @LiquoriceTea My application is very similar to BulmaBrief's. This is my second time applying, and since my last application I took a few more courses so now I have all of the recommend courses. When I first applied I had 200+ hours volunteering with the ski patrol and had experience treating injuries from sprains and breaks to concussion and spinal injuries. I recently (December) started volunteering on a casual basis at the hospital in ICU and ER. It was one of the best decisions I made, I absolutely love it! I also go to a care home once a week and help residents from the dementia unit in a painting class. For online classes definitely find one that suits your learning style. I'm taking 2 online classes right now, as well as two regular classes. One class is self paced and I'm doing really well. However the other is tutor paced and has a lot more content than the other, and I find myself struggling to retain the information after reading the 'lecture'. Mix that with the studying for my regular lectures and it's a great big pain. Good luck with your application!
  21. We've all applied to the fall intake for the RN program and are waiting to hear back from admissions. Many of us have applied for the winter intake as well. :)
  22. Yeah I really hope so too! I'll be thrilled to get in anywhere. :) just a couple more months and all of this waiting will be over, hopefully for both of us!
  23. Ahaha I know! I'm totally the same way. I need to do well so I can get in, but I need to get in to stay motivated. It's a vicious circle. I haven't heard anything about UNBC, good or bad. I was thinking maybe TRU, but the next intake is for Sept. 2014. I'd kinda like to start this year, but if I have to wait another year I will. Hopefully it doesnt come to that, I've already applied to 2 different intakes before this one!
  24. Haha yup I got a little too excited and launched into my life story for you. I applied to grant mac as well, for both the Fall and winter terms. I've heard it's competitive as well, but it seems that all the schools are now. But if you got your application in early then you stand a pretty good chance. The suggestion Donna gave about transferring from one of the partner schools is a good idea. Probably won't be the route I take though, I don't think I could justify the living expenses for such a short period of time. It would be cheaper for me to do it locally and transfer somewhere else.
  25. Ohmigosh I'm dumb! You meant that you applied to Grant Mac didnt you?
