It seems really strange that testing was done, and then no action was taken. What an odd management strategy. If they want to go with the "don't ask, don't tell" method, they sure went about it the wrong way.

I have never really bought into the old adage that every new grad must work on a med-surg unit for at least a year after graduation. I believe that the place that is most meaningful and interesting to the new grad is the place they will work hardest and be most successful. Of course as many have pointed out, that is assuming support and mentoring that is often not there.
