Hi 2ndchance, I'd love to hear more about how your OR orientation went for you. I am starting my OR fellowship on Feb 20th and I am very excited but also nervous about changing specialties from Progressive care. How are you liking OR nursing? How can I best learn about instruments?

Hello humbl, Be thankful you have job and try to find the positive things about your position. Do you like any of your coworkers? Do you gain satisfaction out of seeing your patients improve? Reflect on why you went to nursing school in the first place. If you have passion for nursing, maybe you just haven't found your niche. I agree that you might want to seek employment in another institution or area of nursing. Take time to think about your decision to continue practicing as a registered nurse, but if you find you truly hate your job something should change. Good luck to you. To be blunt, as an unemployed new grad, I don't think it is fair for you to reserve an unwanted position while there are so many of us that would be grateful for your position.

Hello fellow Stan ASBSN classmates! Congrats to all those that were admitted. Looking forward to meeting everyone at orientation next week. I was thinking it would be a good idea to create a contact list during orientation. That way we can also find out if there are possible carpool groups that we could form. I am from Elk Grove if anyone is interested. @funnypants: I couldn't find the Facebook group either unless its called ASBSN Stockton.

It is the 21st. I spoke with the Director and she said they had to extend the deadline.
