  1. Thanks!
  2. I don't know what is wrong with my FB. The group for 2012-2013 is showing up but not the one for our class Anyone know any other tricks?
  3. I tried to look for the FB group but can't find it
  4. I did pretty well and maintained good grades. That said, I will shamefully admit that I have poor study habits and have gotten away with simply being a good test taker. The prerequisites were fairly simple for me and I felt that I did not have to study much to retain the information. I am 99.9% sure that nursing classes will be different and that I will have to put in more time to study. My best friend went through an RN program (in a different state) and we are almost identical in habits....she cried a lot during her run in nursing school. So I am pretty sure I will have to make a change somewhere.
  5. So much info since I last stopped by! Words cannot describe how excited I am to start the program already. I am so excited for Friday's orientation and also excited to meet you guys...finally! I think a Facebook group is a great idea too. I have other concerns though... I'm sure I am not the only one who works full time and got into the program. I've been told by several people that it's impossible to work full time and do well in the program, but not everyone can afford to not have a job so I'm sure its been done before. I want to wait and see what my class schedule will be like before I talk to my boss to make the necessary changes. There are several options for me. I could cut back my hours (to 4 days/week) and still maintain FT status and keep benefits. Cut back to part time (lose benefits). Change my shift (currently work swing. graveyard is a possibility). The RN program is my main priority and if I have to, I am willing to ditch the job...just not preferable. I can't be the only one with this concern, right? I've thought about this for months and can't make up my mind. I don't have any kids that I need to support but I do have my own bills to pay. Y'all don't have to tell me what your plans are, that's none of my business but any input from you guys would be a big help!
  6. I will be there at 12:30on Wednesday! I actually have class at 12:30 but I will have to just get in late because I have work right afterwards.
  7. I was accepted for full-time
  8. I had 30 as well. I can't wait to meet everyone!
  9. Wahoooo!!!! Im in!!!!! Happy dance! Happy dance! Happy dance!!!
  10. Congrats! Im so happy for you! I'm waiting anxiously!
  11. For now I can relax knowing no news will come tonight. Tomorrow will be peaked anxiety and loads of excitement. Good night for now and good luck to everyone tomorrow :)
  12. Thanks for calling! I can't think straight and I just want to know!!! Yes, there is a packet to pick up, which I am sure they will give the details when they call.
  13. I'm with you guys. Staying on this site makes me feel calmer...or at least its what I like to think. Today is my day off so I will surely be checking for updates regularly throughout the day. Reading something new on this forum whether its good/bad, useful or not is like crack. It's like that saying, "misery loves company." I think it works for anxiety too. "Anxiety loves updates from other anxious hopefuls on allnurses.com." Is it Thursday yet?
  14. I think I will let it go to voicemail. If it is good news I want to listen to it over and over again.
  15. Seriously y'all, my anxiety level is through the roof. The longer the wait, the more "what if" scenarios I'm coming up with in my head. What if they lose my application? What if I didn't check a box and my application is incomplete? AHHHHH! I'm praying this will be over soon. I got excited to read about calls going this week, then depressed again when I read that they may not. My family thinks Im a crazy person. I may get institutionalized...
