Hi Teresa, I am sorry to hear of your two unsuccessful attempts. Trust me I can imagine the frustration. I took the same test first time this last Thursday (July 25, 2013) and passed; Thank God. I but was so nervous during the exam. So passing was a pleasant surprise. As far as studying I did the Fitzgerald review course. Bought the CDs that came with the manual. Reviewed these repeatedly quite a bit. I had Mometrix flash cards which I used although from my experience they are good once you have your facts together. So I used these to wrap up my acquired knowledge from other studies. Last two weeks before exam I bought the ANCC manual, and the $ 99 PHMNP 150 questions from the ANCC website. These really direct you and infact do recall having almost 10 similar questions on the boards. Also reviewed the PHMHNP, child/ adol , adult psych , psych. CNS ANCC sample tests on the ANCC website. Lastly, last minute I found out that a lot of the ANCC question contents came from Kaplan and Saddock psychiatry book. This author also has separate review question and answers which honestly game me a very thorough foundation review on many concepts. I wish you all the best. Let me now if you have any questions.
