Transferring NP license
Well, I am glad to hear that it's not hard, just a matter of preparing required docs. I am just little confused about what my prof said. It was part of her recorded lecture. Maybe her info is outdated?

Transferring NP license
Hi everyone, I am a first year FNP student in MD. I am getting some state-level grant from MD for the DNP program. One of the requirements is to stay in MD after graduation at least for one year and practice as an FNP. This changes my plan because I initially plan to get certified in WA or AZ after graduation. From one of lectures that I am taking, the professor said it is almost impossible to transfer your NP license once you pass your board exam in one state. I would like to know if anyone is familiar with the license transfer process from one state to another and how complicated the process is. Thanks a lot for reading my post!

NP Starting Salary range in Maryland area?
Hi TachyBrady, It just saw in your post that you are studying FNP at GWU, which I think I will pursue in future. I want to ask you few questions if you don't mind. How is the program like? Is it very competitative to get into this program? I know there are FNP programs in MD and I am not sure which program I should apply. I would appreciate any of your comments!!

Help for initial license from MBON
It is so ridiculous. I just got an email back from MBON. In the email, it basically says that if my birth year is odd and my birth month is October, it expires this year on 28th of October. When I get to renew my license in October, it will be good for 2 years. Thank you Maryland Board of Nursing for such ridiculous rules.

Help for initial license from MBON
Hi all, I am a new graduate in state of MD. I just got my nursing license in early Feb and found out that my license expires in October of this year, which is my birth month. But on the paper that I got from MBON , it says "on January 1, 2013, the Board of Nursing began to phase in biennial (every two years) renewal of licenses". So I went to the MBON today and talked to the lady at the front desk. She said there is nothing wrong with my license and the expiration date is correct as it is. I didn't want to argue with her more because her attitude was very rude. I still don't understand why my license expires so early but not others?? Does anyone know about this? I am really confused and trying to contact the MBON by phone and they never pick up....

Children's National New Grad Interview
The interview went very quick. I interviewed with the nurse manager and clinical instructor. They were both very nice and not overwhelming. The questions were relatively simple, easy to answer and within expected range compared to other interview Qs that I had before. But they said it is very competitive to get this position so I may not get an offer :'( Let me konw how your inteview goes!

UMSON Spring 2013
Hi, everyone. I have applied for spring 2013 for UMSON. Has anyone got an idea about the interview? I heard the candidates might have interviews with the committee. Does anyone have an idea when it would be? As far as I know, the admission decision is released around the first week of November. Then, the interview should be on October. Or Have anyone already had an interview? Please help me out!
