  1. Good morning! I just wanted to say that optimism and patience is key. I have NEVER worked in the healthcare field and graduated nursing school in December. Not to mention from an ADN program. I immediately registered for my NCLEX and sat for my boards in the middle of January and passed. I applied to over 100 job openings no matter what the posting said. If it said experience preferred or required I still applied. I got hired on a med/surg unit in suburban Chicago in the beginning of March. A positive attitude is the key to this experience. Just don't forget your worth and in an interview you will kill it just by being yourself. You will do great if you keep a positive attitude. Good luck!
  2. Thank you! I think I'm going to start with Saunders. I like to have extra resources when I'm studying, so I want to be able to use the book throughout nursing school and throughout my summer off. Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it.
  3. Hello, I just finished my first semester of the nursing program. We're off during the summer and I am trying to use my time wisely. I'm looking to see what study guide books are preferred. I'm looking at Saunders NCLEX Q&A, Saunders Comprehensive Review and Kaplan. Please let me know if you have any advice on which are the best. I plan on using these to study with the next 3 semesters of the program as well. Thanks!
