  1. I just created a "pass back to class" with boxes that allow me to check the appropriate RX. I made it cute like a RX pad. It's intended to educate the teacher on possible ways to prevent the child from missing more class in order to come to the clinic. I have too many visitors. Mosquito bites, rashes that I can't see, etc. I am taking the educate for the long term approach. I really don't want to ask for a required RN pass and put more paperwork on the teachers. Thus, I am using my "back to class pass" as an education tool for long term clinic visit cut backs. I can't figure out how to attach a doc here.
  2. Flare- these are awesome! thank you very much. YIKES It's LICE is September, for sure.
  3. What words do you use to tell a student, your thoughts: I know you are not sick (we never really know and this scares me), you have got to stop coming here for minor things. What words do you use to tell teachers to stop sending the kids who are frequent fliers? I don't want to get in trouble or put the teacher in jeapardy for not reporting an illness. I have the parent communication down: report the number of visits and ask if they can think of any other reason the child may need me or desire to be out of the classroom. I would love to have a process where frequent fliers get a mtg with the counselor. I'm new, not ready to suggest this yet. I'm finding my self stuck with sharing my thoughts in these frequent flyer circumstances. And I have an avg of 50 visitors per day in a school with 700. Its an elementary.
  4. I have been looking for a low cost option as well. To no avail. Please share the names of companies! thank you
