  1. I haven't been able to find one... I think you should make a page :-)
  2. Sounds good, I'll see you at 11 on the 28th! This gives others a little time to check the post, if anyone else is interested!
  3. And I'll be gone until the 27th... How about Tuesday, the 28th, anytime works for me! French Press or Ike Box?
  4. I'm also in South Salem, and work in South Salem. Either works for me, what time of day works best for you?
  5. I'd love to meet up! I'm still working full time, until the 24th, but I can make something work! I also have the entire week before orientation where I'm just cleaning and packing, that would work best!
  6. Hello! I was also accepted to the Linfield 2013 summer program! So excited! I currently live in Salem but I am moving up to Portland area right before orientation. Are you (RASKL) going to be commuting during the entire program? I thought it would be too much driving...
  7. I kind of figured about the Boston's children hospital, just thought I'd ask, it's not my first choice. That's interesting to hear about peds though. Im actually interested in ED trauma most, then OB... Eventually maybe a flight nurse program :-) Thanks for the tips about housing. I'm going to start calling about pricing. It'd be awesome if I could be only a short walk from campus!
  8. I applied to the ABSN program only... The rejection isn't official, I guess there is a chance, it's kinda sad but actually good to know so I can accept a spot at another school. This is the email I received... Thank you for applying to the OHSU School of Nursing Accelerated Bachelor program. We wanted to give you an update on the status of your application with us. At this time we have finalized the preparation of your application packet and your file been reviewed by the undergraduate admissions committee. We receive many more qualified applicants than we can accept each year and unfortunately your file has not been selected for additional review at this time and is not moving forward in the admission review process. Although a final decision has not yet been made and your file could still be selected for additional review, it is highly unlikely that your file will be selected for admission this time. Although we know this is disappointing news about the status of your application with us, we wanted to provide you with this information now in case it could help you shape your educational plans with other institutions. We hope to have final admission decisions notifications out by April 15th 2013 and we will contact you with more information when we are able to publicize the final admission results in the coming months.
  9. I receive an email stating that I most likely wouldn't be accepted. It just said that they weren't going to be advancing my application on other final round of decision making but that it wasn't an official rejection until I receive a letter (April 15th). It's nice to know, I guess... Still disappointing though :-( I did get accepted to two other schools but they are out of state and I was hoping to stay local. Still waiting on Linfield though, fingers crossed! Anyone else apply to Linfiled's ABSN program too?
  10. Hello! I just happened on to this thread and thought I'd say hello! I got accepted to Manchester's ABSN for this coming fall (2013), Yay! I'm super excited, but also very nervous. I'm from Oregon and have never been to New England, it'll be a big move! I just started checking out possibilities for apartments to rent. My boyfriend and dog are coming with me, which is awesome, but is going to make it a little more difficult to find housing. We shall see! I love all the advise from past students. Especially knowing there was a 100% pass rate :-) I think I'm pretty good at studying but the first term seems like its going to be daunting! Anyone have any input on places to look for housing? Did anyone get to do clinical at the Boston children's hospital?
  11. Wow! That is awesome!!! I'm so happy for you! What number were you on the wait list when they first sent you your letter?
  12. dsb_fam; I haven't called... I didn't even think to do that :-D I will tomorrow! With the time difference it would be too late by the time I get home from work.
  13. Anyone on the waitlist receive a call yet? I believe I am number 4 now... fingers crossed. I still have another two to four weeks before I will hear from any of my other schools. Not enjoying the waiting :-(
  14. @dsb_fam: I'm actually still finishing my last anatomy this term and have Patho this spring... I am currently number 9 on the alternate list so, fingers crossed!! I am pretty sure I have all my shots, although I don't think I ever had my last shot for HPV? I need to schedule a physical, but I figure I'll wait until I hear back from a few other schools...
  15. I finally got my letter! I'm on the alternate list. Does anyone know how many people are alternates? I still have to take patho this Spring so maybe that's why? Anyways, I'm still excited it isn't a rejection :-)
  16. I checked the mail three times today and then realized it was a holiday... Ugg, they waiting is driving me bonkers!!!
  17. OMG, congrats!!!!! That's so awesome to hear!! Do you know how many people get put on the wait list? Ack, hopefully that means my letter is in the mail? It took like three days for my application to get to Arizona, I'm nervous now!! I think that either way has its benefits for you and your family. Either way you are on the right path!!! Congrats again!!!
  18. Thank you so much jl31911! I really appreciate your insight! I'm getting so nervous with all the waiting. I live in Oregon so I would also have to move if I got in to NAU, I applied to 3 out of state and two in state so hopefully I end up here but I'd be fine going anywhere. Like you said... I can do anything for a year!!!
  19. Do you remember about when last year you received you acceptance letter?
  20. Wow, that is awesome! Congrats on almost being done, I hope I'll be in your shoes next year :-D I do have one question for now, does school go straight through for the year or are there any breaks? Like summer break, winter break etc... Thanks!!!!
  21. Thanks for clearing that up. Do they all start at the same time and in the same cohort?
  22. My transcripts have all been checked in, woohoo!!!!! Now I just have to wait... Also, isn't this a thread for the ABSN starting this June at OHSU? I'm just making sure :-), there aren't supposed to be any interviews for this program so the past few posts were a bit confusing...
  23. If it was up to me I would go to OHSU for sure. It is a great school and it's close to my family which would be helpful. But I would be overjoyed to be accepted anywhere! I feel confident most of the time, but sometimes I am just so nervous! But I've worked really hard, so if I don't make it this round I'll just keep trying until I do
  24. I totally know how you feel about the test, I was a complete nervous wreck! Wow! That's awesome that you are pursuing school with that many children, you must be a super multitasker! I am lucky in that I'm in a situation that allows me to move just about anywhere, I do have a dog and bf but both are willing to come with me wherever I get in. I did apply to a few other schools, two instate; Linfield and OHSU and besides NAU I applied to MCPHS in New Hampshire and University of Utah. All over the country :-D
  25. I have two B's and the rest A's for my prereqs. I also got a 79% on my Kaplan, I did really good on all sections but the writing sunk me with a 65%, eek! It was a hard test... I also have been volunteering and job shadowing at the local hospital here, so hopefully that at least helps a little? My first GPA wasn't very impressive but hopefully with my prerec grades it will show that I'm really ready to be back in school. Did you apply anywhere else?
