I work in a NeuroScience Critical Care Unit where we have 12 ICU and 10 Intermediate beds (Neurology/Neurosurgery/Trauma). During patient care council today we spent an hour calling other hospitals:banghead: trying to bench mark on vital signs and assessments. Please give feedback what are your routine or standard of care? Vitals and neuro assessment for ICU? :heartbeat Vitals and neuro assessment for Intermediate? esp. 1st 24 hr upon arrival?!:heartbeat Thank you ahead of time for your help!!

I am pretty sure that this topic is a common thread among ICUs. I am interested on others thoughts. How do you feel on ICU nurses getting higher pay than floor nurses?!?! Thank you

Just wondering...I'm taking the NCLEX tomarrow as previously posted! It says it takes 2 business days to get results~ is it true? Will they be up Saturday or do I have to wait till Monday? Well all I can say is around here...we have three major hospitals and about 4-5 nursing colleges in the immediate area. What I noticed is that...and please do not take this the wrong way (other readers)...hospitals and nurses seem to really like the ADN graduates better because they are able NOW to work on the floor~ clinically better prepared for the real world!! Just a thought! :)

Well...any ideas for a Health promotion project... I would like to do something different like with cancer patients or peds. Any ideas :) ! Thanks! Jen
