  1. Hi I work for Davita in Michigan and am a preceptor . If you have no experience in dialysis then you get 90 days of paid training. You work with a technician and learn how to set the machines up , cannulate ( stick ) , catheter care ( some states RN has to do) trouble shoot machines and learn the flow of the clinic. You then go to theory class to really understand dialysis . The culture of clinics are different but policy and procedures are the same and must be followed ! As a RN you the precept with a RN to learn their role . Hope this helps
  2. Hey Dave just read your thread . I too live in Windsor , am Canadian and want to work in Florida in the future. I currently work in Detroit at Davita ( out patient dialysis) which will enable to transfer there as Davita is statewide, No clue in salary . I love the out patient clinic as off every Sunday and Christmas , New Year . I do get the Canadian holidays off and offer to work the American . You can research any state liscencevand endorse to the state of Florida. I personally like Naples as I have family there and visit 4 x a year . Best of luck . Are you at the Dieu or met?
  3. Samaria, hello responding to your post . I live in Windsor and work in Detroit. I do not know where your fried got their facts but you may work with your ADN . I just met a new nurse who graduated from your school and is working Grace Siani . best bet call the border , which one will you be dealing with? I do bridge and they can be so rude!!! just really know your rights!!!.Good luck with everything and I will assist you in this confusing endeavor
