Aloha, the salary differs where u work, hospitals like queens pays more than agencies,u might want to check at qmc website http://www.queens.org..it shows the salary and weekend/night differentials..and they r constantly hiring,.hope this helps..gydluck:)

Ur welcome:) yea make sure to review all the skills the night before ur exam day,and memorize all the vital signs baseline as well. Do u guys have a mandatory skills to do in ur state exam?like in my state b.p taking and handwashing is the 2 mandatory skills then we pick 3 more skills randomly to perform. Hi, ok I remember when I had my interview in the hospital the nurse mngr.asked me if im certified and I said yes then she goes its good bcoz some dept.needs u to be certified and im a floater right now so maybe I have to renew?im not really sure how to renew a certificate in our state because this will be my 1st time I heard u need to complete 24hr competency evaluation because I never work in facilities, I've been working with agency(homecare) before I got this hospital job so I don't really understand im confused on how to renew my certificate..plz help. Here in our state you can get a job as a personal assistant or a sitter in an agency even if you don't have experience or cna training as long as you know how to take care just there basic needs,and u will be shadowing somebody.

Hi thanks for the info, further question that means I can use any size and type of respirator?I thought I can only use the 3M it doesn't matter whatever the patients case(bacterial,viral) since thats the one that it perfectly fits on me, and yes the 3M has sumthing on the nose part to pinch it so it seals.thanks

Hi I just got a job in the hospital as a CNA and today I went for my physical exam and they let me do the respirator fit test, my tester gave me a piece of card as a certification of completion and with 3M 1860 on it.. She said I'll use it whenever I enter the TB patient's room.. Can anybody explained me how it works and any further info? This is my 1st time working in the hospital....thanks! ?
