  1. I live in Staten Island as well. I recently attended and graduated the CNA training class at The New Millenium Training school on Staten Island. It is a 4 week class. Very intense and fast passed but i had an amazing teacher. This may be just what u are looking for. Also I took my state test at the school and that made it better as well. On tuesday, I was added to the NYS nurse registry. I would suggest calling the school and going for a visit. Again, it's called The New Millenium training school- (718) 667-7741. It is located down the street from Staten Island University hospital. Good luck and keep me updated!
  2. UPDATE: I Passed both parts and am officially a CNA!!! Thanks to everyone on this thread for your support! Now comes the hard part! Looking for a job!!
  3. Hey Paws! I passed the clinical part, now just have to wait it out 2 see if i passed the written! thanks for all your support
  4. Hi Everyone, Here's an update....i took the test today. It wasnt as bad as i thought but it was a bit nerve racking! and you know what? I was first for the clinical portion. I think I had pretty easy skills: Footcare, change position, and pulse. I was nervous so i think i forgot to close privacy curtain once and i think my pulse was off. What really got me was that during different parts of the test, the examiner would be on her ipad and she didnt come to close when i was doing footcare. The only time she really fully observed me was when i was doing handwashing and taking pulse. I am such a worry wart! Even the written test seemed a bit tricky in parrts...i really pray i passed! I will update you guys as i get results! Again, Thanks so much for your encouragement nd support!
  5. I am in Staten Island....I just wanna pass the exam first and then worry about work! But i have been told there are tons of jobs 4 cnas in new york and new jersey....Thanks again, Paws!

  8. Thank you ybur514....I will try and do my best! I really appreciate the encouragement!
  9. Thank you paws! I am more nervous about the skills part...i am a working mother of 5 children so i have had to practice on them and also deal with everything else, so i am worried i wont be fully prepared!
