New RN Grad needing resume advice for CNA positions
Hi, I'm a new grad myself. I'm not sure but I don't think you can work as a CNA with an RN license because once you're licensed, you are held to that standard.

PSA Healthcare in Florida
i got an email saying that based on reimbursement, they pay rns $18.00-20.00 per hour based on pt acuity. i found out one of the girls from a previous class is currently working with them since may. she told me they pay her $16 per hour because she's a level one (inexperienced new grad rn). if i get offered the job i'm going to take it. i rather have $16 per hour in my pocket than $0 waiting. she also told me that after a month she included her new experience with psa in her resume and she got called from a hospital for a pediatric floor position. a little experience is better than none. PSA Healthcare in Florida
Hello everyone, I'm a new grad and as you all know, it's pretty hard to find a job without experience. I live in south Florida. I applied to PSA Healthcare because they hire new grads and offer training. I've heard good and bad things about the company depending on the location. Does anyone have any input about this company here in Florida? Thank you!

Hello! New RN..looking for jobs..What do I do? Confused!
NYCRN16, I haven't moved to Tampa, I'm still in Ft. Lauderdale. You're right about the hospitals and their new grads spots open to those with scholarships. The Memorial system has a lot of job opening for new grads but they're only offered to those with scholarships. I'm looking everywhere and I'm not picky! I'm not trying to get into any specialty because I have to be realistic, the chances of that are pretty slim. Besides, I think I'm one of the few nurses that actually likes being on a Med/Surg floor. I believe that's where you grow your nursing skills as a new grad. I just applied to PSA. I've heard good and bad things about the company. Any information that anyone might have about PSA in Florida will be truly appreciated. I just need to get my "feet wet" and start getting experience from whatever I can find.

Hello! New RN..looking for jobs..What do I do? Confused!
Hi, I'm in Ft. Lauderdale but I'm willing to move to Tampa. That's how desperate I am. No one wants a new grad unless you know someone inside the facility. Thanks so much.

RN and Work Visas.
Thank you so much for replying! The 6 year wait, is it to apply for the visa or the time it gets to get approved/denied? My plan is to go for the BSN once my OPT is about to expire.

RN and Work Visas.
Hello everyone, I know this topic has been brought up a lot and I've been reading threads until my eyes hurt. They're also old threads from 2008 and I'm hoping to find updated information related to this subject. I'd appreciate any feedback from the more experienced nurses in this subject. I came to the US with a R2 Visa in 2005. Later in 2008 I had to change my status to International student because I turned 21. I graduated on May 2012 with an associates (ADN). As an international student I have the "right" to work for a year after graduation. I currently have a work permit, a SSN, and my RN license from the state of Florida (Thank God!!) and I'm looking for a job. Now my questions: Am I considered a foreign educated nurse even though I went to school here and passed the NCLEX? Am I elegible for a work visa? I know that in order to get a work visa you need a bachelors degree but don't most health care facilities employ RNs with the minimum entry requirement for most staff RN jobs which is a two-year associate degree rather than a four-year bachelors' degree? Again thank so much for taking your time to read this. This is becoming a big headache.
