Hi all! I am looking at various programs since being wait listed at TWU. Any advice for applying? Are the pre-reqs really only 4 classes?

I recently applied and was wait listed to two different schools for my BSN. Sadly I have realized I cannot put off school any longer so I am considering getting my LVN and then doing the LVN-RN bridge program. Does anyone have any experience with this? Anyone recommend a good community college where I can get this done in Dallas/Fort Worth? I have also read that no one hires LVNs anymore...any truth to this??

Welcome!! Your gpa and first attempts are great! I wouldn't worry...you make a good candidate. Are you getting the bump too? I applied to Houston as well so hopefully we will get to know each other soon enough!

Three years?? That would not be good seeing as the last time I took some of these courses was 6 years ago. I called yesterday to make an appt just in case...I'll report back if anyone else is interested!

I finally took my TEAS this morning...what a relief!! I was surprised by the science section and have mixed feelings on how I did. However, I am not going to worry about it. What is done is done and now it is just time to wait! On another note, does anyone know if there are any major differences in the UTA program and TWU as far as transferring goes? I am making an appt with an advisor over there but I figured most of y'all have had plenty of answers so I would try here too :) I am considering applying there should TWU and my other back ups not play out...

Has anyone taken the TEAS just by using the "5 TEAS Practice Book" and not ATI?? It's all I'm planning on using and I'm not sure how te actual test is in comparison.

Do any of you girls know if they actually mail out their decisions of if they send it via email as well?

Yea, the campus is super easy. And if anyone has any questions, I also work on campus and can usually try to help as much as I can!

I haven't been around here that long but I'll be in the class too :) What do y'all think is the latest you can take the test and have your scores sent? I feel like I am not giving myself enough time to study after my summer semester ends.

I am sitting next to my friend Lanie...she has a question for y'all! Hey girls. I am trying to apply for the Spring semester along with all the other hopefuls. However, I just decided that nursing is the path I wanted to take. Unfortunately I have a C in A&P 2 and a few other C's on my record. Does this totally disqualify me? I have an A in Stat and A&P 1 and a a fairly decent GPA. I take the TEAS next week. Any advice? Thanks, I should register for this site. - Lanie
