The nurse residency program at Vanderbilt is great. Its an 8 week program with options in pretty much anywhere you would want to work. The downside is they don't pay and it costs quite a bit to do it. What I did is apply as a tech at vandy... your manager is obligated to make you a "Nurse resident" if you have completed your first two clinical rotations in school. So by doing this you get paid AND it counts as a externship on your resume. Vanderbilt is an awesome place to gain experience. good luck!

I am moving from Nashville to the raleigh area and looking to apply at the REX residency program. Wondering if it was any good/ how the schedule was and the pay. Any advice on other programs in the area is always welcome. thanks!
