  1. Here's the link with more info https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/i-have-no-485077.html
  2. Can you get a titer done to check your antibodies? So that way whatever you don't have they will give you. I saw this on another place in this forum. Maybe inquire with your dr. and how to get that done if its at all possible. Hope that helps.
  3. Congrats to everyone. I also start an RN program in the fall for associates degree. It's interesting because I got A's in all my bio prerequisites, thinking naturally if I studied enough I could get A's in my other classes. But I got B's in my pre-req nursing classes like pharmacology (B-). Pharmacology was a bit of a challenge 1/2 way through the class until I understood the way they tested. So I'm a little nervous, but I have faith that I will be fine in the nursing classes in the program. Does anyone know if the classes are a lot harder than the pre-reqs we took like pharm or physio? Thanks
  4. You still have a chance of getting in!
  5. Congrats!! I was just gonna post that the letters are arriving. I'll see you in the program. :)
  6. I just called the nursing department and she said they are working on them now and they should go out the beginning of next week! So excited!
  7. That's great news! I only applied to Saddleback. I was going to apply to Concordia if I was able to get a student loan, but I just found out today that you need to have your RN first, or a bachelors degree in order to get into the accelerated BSN program. I need like 5 more classes before I can get my bachelors in business administrations (since that was my previous major) and so its probably best to get my RN first, then go for BSN.
  8. Anyone apply to Concordia? I want to but know its really expensive and I don't want another loan.
  9. I was told that there were about 250 applicants this time which I think is in the normal range.
  10. Thanks mgarrett13. I think I'll apply there as well.
  11. Did anybody apply to the fall 2013 nursing program? I made a mistake last semester by only applying to one school. This time I plan to apply to at least 5 schools. Does anybody know which schools are accepting applications soon for a fall program? Golden West is still not accepting, and I'm not sure about Santa Ana. Thanks.
  12. QUESTION, when does the spring nursing program start? Thank you.
  13. Hi applered. Thank you. I'm in the first pool, but the nursing dept said I still have a chance because when they are done going through the last alternates, they can begin calling our group. Darn, I wonder if I would have been able to show up to orientation. I didn't know I was allowed to since I'm not an alternate. But I guess that would of increased my chance if I did go. :)
  14. ctgangel, that's good news that they let in the last two alternates during orientation. Was it because 2 people didn't show up or possibly dropped out of the program? Were there more than 2 people who didn't show up? Just curious, because that would mean that the nursing dept would let more people in probably after winter break to replace them.
