  1. I just finished a contract at Stanford a few wks ago (neurosurgery unit). Went thru AMN. Didn't have any issues, but pay was horrible. During my orientation, all but one traveler were there thru AMN. Another went thru Aureus, but Aureus also has a bad rep. Had great experience at Stanford, and would recommend the hospital. As Ned mentioned, UCSF is another option (have heard positives & negatives). Kaiser doesn't have a very good rep. Good luck!
  2. I am working thru UCH's in-house traveler program. Some agencies have contracts there, but u are better off working directly thru the hospital. I have a BSN. I think it's preferred, but not req.
  3. Yeah, my start date was the same day as the shootings. Very tragic
  4. I just started a travel contract at UCH in Aurora, CO, and am interested in meeting other travelers in the Denver area. It's always more fun to have someone else to explore new areas with- let me know if you are interested!
  5. RNWhit07, I would def recommend BayCare. Pay in FL is generally lower, but when u take a seasonal position thru the hospital, the rates are reasonable. If u work for BayCare Mobile Pool, u make $40/hr with no benefits or $35 with fully furnished housing (at least that was last winter's rates). The 2 main disadv are no health insur (although they were supposedly working on including that at some point) and u must be willing to float to several other BayCare hospitals in the area. Would consider returning to BayCare, but I want to explore other areas 1st.
