So I will be 25 in December and I have a 3 year old son and a five year old daughter. I'm a single parent with not much family or help. I was in college right after high school and had a 3.00 gpa but dropped out. I went on to make some of the most irresponsible choices and silly mistakes ever. Well after a few years of living like a low life and some soul sucking office jobs I quit and decided to quit and do some soul searching and praying to the Almighty for guidance. I figured I was officially tired of living like a low life as I've always known I am Intelligent and living below my potential. So I deiced to go back to college. Now I've always been a liberal arts type of gal meaning I love english history etc. I totally dismissed math and science and never gave much thought to careers that rely on them such as medicine. Well suddenly today I had a thought float by in my mind of being a nurse but of instead of dismissing it I decided to examine the thought. Now I get the feeling like wow I like the Idea of it, after doing some research and looking at my school's pre req's I thought damn it feels right but wrong. I say right because it makes me feels like I will live up to the potential in me but wrong because I've never considered medicine or science. I did well in high school in my paramedic and physics class but that's it I never thought of it again. I'm have a big soft heart sometimes to a fault so I considered a human services degree but this completely unexpected thought of being a nurse gets me tingling lol!! I even thought where did this idea come from since I figured God might want me to be a counselor of some sort but a friend said maybe he liked you to be a nurse. So I guess my question is do I have to be born with the passion to be a nurse or could I develop it? Is it possible to be awesome at something you never thought you could be? Thanks for advice
