  1. I have a few questions about the process of receiving a residency position with Vidant. I submitted an application last week for the Fall residency. should I call them and make sure my materials were received or just sit and wait for a call (I am impatient haha)? I am very hopeful about receiving an interview, but I have no idea what my odds are. My GPA is nothing outstanding, it was a very tough BSN program (for me at least!). I highlighted my other strengths, but I do not know if that is enough. How long after you submitted your applications were you called for an interview? Thank you so much!
  2. and I don't think I got the job at Park Ridge, they never called me back after my interview.
  3. How did the interview go? I still haven't heard anything from Mission.
  4. Oh wow that's great. About how long after you put in your application at Mission did they get back to you?
  5. I am a new grad RN looking for jobs in the Asheville area. I am wondering about people's opinions on Mission Hospital and Park Ridge in Hendersonville. Mission was originally my first choice because of it's location, but they do not seem eager to hire new grads and also I have heard some not-so-good things about the facility lately. Park Ridge has shown interest in me and I am considering a job there. Is it a good place to work? I wish it were closer to town but I would take a short commute over unemployment any day!
