Hello the first six months is pre req's I don't have the class list in front of me If I find it I will post the classes then the 10 months are lpn classes. I can't tell you how the school is first hand but I know a few people who graduated and they liked was it perfect no but no alarming complaints and every time I go to the school I speak to students there in the lpn program and they are happy with the program. turtlebob, Hello I sorry I may not be much help I took the Kaplan without studying anything because my rep called and said there was a spot open for January and to just take it and try if I fail just retake, well I didn't want to start in January but I did want to know what the test was like so I took it. I passed and what I can say is it is very similar to the compass they kept telling you did great on the compass and the kaplan is pretty much the same i didn't believe them but it was. The reading is boring but it is basically read and answer questions in kaplan it is kicked up a notch but not much. The writing is the same as the compass switch out sentences, the math is a bit harder but not by much if you did great on the compass I can't see you failing the Kaplan. I am not good at math at all and I had no study materials I passed. the scores they are vague about I know you have to get at least a 50 or 55 on the math which is what I was focused on since I such at it. Well just came back from Mildred Elley and this is what they had to say they separated the program because it was too much confusion they way they had it, the program is still 16 months however, you have to take the compass and score a certain percent on each section you have two tries then you have to take the teas V and the highest scores get in she didn't say what score you have to get its basically the highest scores of those that are applying at the time. They have the articulation agreement with helen fuld. So that was it basically and I am going to take the compass next monday and see what happens I am not sure what to study she said theres no study guide so I guess I will just study the basics. I am going to still apply to midmanhattan and goldwater just in case. Wish Me luck:)

Well I spoke with AMG and they still don't qualify for financial aid so they said students use a payment plan and that honestly is too much to take on for me anyway. Midred Elley has separated there program I am goint in today to talk to an admissions rep and see what has changed with there program.

It really does help thank you, I will look into it hopefully they have financial aid if not I'll see what mildred elley says.

darkreign27 Thank you for the info but I couldn't find AMG website, But I didn't know that the programs are now separate that makes a big difference I didn't like the fact that I had to start in the MA program especially since I am already a MA so that really turned me off from mildred elley. So now Thanks to my allnurses I have to calls to make Monday AMG and Mildred Elley. Thank you so much :)

I did a little searching and they don't seem to have a website or at least I have not found one but the do have a facebook page and the school looks very nice I am going to give them a call Monday If you have any info I would appreciate it and thank you so much for informing me about the school :)

hello i was accepted to st pauls for the fall but declined i am too nervous about them not being accredited and the thread st. pauls 2010 combined scared me away. now that being said i have heard good things about the school mostly bad but i can tell you the hesi is simple i am horrible in math and still scored a 90 percent in math and 95 in reading/grammer and vocabulary section buy the book they offer and you will do fine. if you don't mind me asking being that you have your lpn why don't you go to a school thats accredited by nlnac already you can even find some online lpn to rn or lpn to bsn programs. i am not trying to discourage you about st pauls just giving you my opinion on the program i would go there in a heart beat if they were accredited but being an associate degree program and not accredited is a double negative to me i know i am not a nurse but i have been searching jobs and new grad programs and they all want bsn's and a few state you must be a graduate of an nlnac accredited school so i have decided to take my pre req's at a cuny school and then proceed to a school thats accredited if st. pauls is accredited by then i may well reapply. now to more answer your question i didn't have an a+ in high school more b and the little bit of college credits i did have were b's so thats that. good luck to you :)

Hello all I am new to this site and would like some info on BMCC nursing program or even there LPN program. I have no credits so you can explain the whole process it would be great any and all info would be appreciated. I was accepted to St.Pauls but the fact that they are not accrediated scares me so much I know they are in candidacy stage but its not a sure thing they will get maybe I will reapply to them when they become accrediated and thoughts on St. Pauls
