If i pursue medicine then i will not work as a nurse, i would want to work as a doctor. From what i have read and researched most schools of medicine in the philippines are accepted in california. Like i said it is just a thought for now, lets see how things go, i still have a few years left before graduating as a nurse.

exactly my concerns, but i think instead of worrying about all of this i might take up medicine, give the economy some more time to bounce back and then not worry having to work as nurse and just work as an MD instead. Just a thought that i am highly considering seeing that i will be completing my pre-med here so i might as well continue on with medicine.

Well see the CA BON-NCLEX has been getting anal with their requirements quite recently. I started hearing of this issue about 3 months ago, and at that time it was only CA, but now its about 11 other states that have jumped on this. My concern is that by the time i am done here it might affect the entire if not majority of the US. i figured i might was well work in some other country if i cannot work in the one i am from. I was also considering taking up medicine but that's just a thought.

Yes that is exactly what I have been reading everywhere that I look. As long as we do our cases along side our theory we should be ok. The classes are being taught decently, I mean there could be some changes to make them much better but so far so good. Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it.

Thank you very much! Its just soo damn stressful to be here and hear all these crazy things about California. It's a little depressing to think about not being able to work where I was raised but I know im going to finish this thing no matter what. I figured as all the issues are related to the concurrency thing then it should be pretty easy to fix but it is a hassle trying to get to anyone who can fix it, it doesn't seem to be a really big deal for them.

Im from California, and honestly if i cant work where im from then i want to look at some other country. Does anybody have any idea on what countries are accepting a BSN degree from Far Eastern University in Manila?

Hello, I am currently a sophomore at Far Eastern University in the Philippines. I am a United States citizen, born and raised there, and just came here to get my degree in nursing. Now there are a whole bunch of issues going on with the California board and i might not get to work there. So i was wondering what countries accept the degree I will get from FEU? Up for suggestions, advice, and pretty much anything

Thank you very much for your reply. I have been looking for a while but cant find the minimum requirements. If you have them or a link to them could you please post it. I am planning on going to the dean on monday because the school i go to is accredited already, as far as i know, or what i gather from what ive been reading, is that the primary concern is that everything be done concurrently and that we have all the cases completed. You are very right in saying it is hard to get a job as an LVN, my mother is an LVN in CA and she has been for many years now and still cant find a permanent position. Other states are an option, although will prove difficult. Once again thank you very much for you reply and help

Hello i am an american citizen going to school in the Philippines and i recently heard something about a new law saying that graduates from other countries would not be eligible to work in the states. Can someone please help me either confirm or deny this? i am very worried because ive already been here for almost two years and have 2.5 years left to graduate. I dont want to graduate and not be able to work where i was born and raised. Any help on the topic would be greatly appreciated.
